A/N: READ THIS! Oh, and that's the gawgeous mustang ;) -->
First off, I just wanna say sorry for the wait. I know cliffhangers suck, so I try not to make it over a week before I upload. But school just started for me a couple days ago, so my schedule's been a little hectic.
Second, I write for myself. BUT, I put my stories on here so I can get feedback. I got sixty reads so far on the last chapter, and two votes. Just two, out of sixty people. So either you guys don't like how the story is going (in which case I wouldn't mind constructive critisism) or you don't wanna spend five seconds pushing the vote button. I really would appreciate it if you guys voted or commented more. If I didn't care what you guys thought, I wouldn't write on Wattpad.
So this is one of the rare times I'll do this, but I want fifteen votes/comments before the next chapter. I just don't want to waste my time writing something if you guys aren't into it.

When I walked back into the hotel room with Spencer, Alec's eyes met my own. I was humming a song by Usher, trying my best not to look suspiscious. Unfortunately, my heart had a different idea.
Alec sighed, rolling his eyes and standing up. "What did you do, Reagan?"
I decided to play coy. Looking at him with innocent eyes, I said, "What? I took Spencer for a walk."
He stared at me. I shot him a grin and collapsed on the bed. I shut my eyes, snuggling into the pillow. Suddenly, I sensed something off, so I opened my eyes.
Alec was standing over at me, studying my face. He leaned forward, locking my gaze. He was close enough for me to feel his breath on my skin.
"Do you know how long I've been around to see the rise and fall of civilization?" He asked, and I could smell his sweet breath. My heart skipped a beat at our proximity. Alec shifted, putting his hands on either side of my head to support his weight. It only brought him closer.
I didn't answer. I was scared to. I never really thought about how old they all were. I hoped it was a rhetorical question.
"You can't lie to me, Reagan." He said. I laid there, frozen, hoping he would just magically forget the last five minutes. No such luck. "You were gone for forty-one minutes and thirty-six seconds."
He counted?! That's just not fair.
He said the next words very slowly. "Where," He shifted again, bringing his face closer to mine. One more inch closer and we'd be kissing. "Were you?"
I laughed nervously, "Funny story, actually."

A half hour earlier...
"Conner?" I asked in disbelief.
He smiled warmly, taking another step toward me. He ran a hand through his shaggy hair, and said, "Yeah, it's me."
His expression turned sad again. I just stared at him in confusion.
"Reagan, something bad happened to me."
I snorted. "Obviously. Jeez, Conner, you look like you got shot and thrown in a ditch."
He chuckled, "Yeah, that's what it feels like."
"What's going on?" I asked. "Why are you in Italy?"
"I could ask you the same question," He raised a brow at me.
I blushed. "I'm on vacation." Sort of...
He nodded. "Reagan, I need to stay with you."
He'd stayed with me before. Conner was a couple years older than me. Before my dad died, he used to come over and "hang out" with Russell. Really, they were smoking weed. Conner and I had made out on our couch a few times, but I was always scared that if we did more, it would mess up his friendship with Russell and I.
