Zoe's POV

It's 9pm and I'm all cuddled up on my bed listening to music on my laptop, when a text from Zayn lights up the screen of my phone.

I reach for it and read it's content while I yawn, and close the lid of my laptop when I see what it says.

- Come outside for a sec, need to talk to you?

Taking off my headphones and getting out of my bed, I look out the window, and sure enough Zayn is standing outside in the dark, giving me a quick wave when he sees me.

I tiptoe downstairs and quickly check on my parents before I walk to the front door without turning on any light. I can only see my mum though - who is pretty caught up in on of her crime TV series as always, so I easily sneak outside in the cold.

- "Uhm hey," I say, giving Zayn a slightly weird look after having closed the door behind me.

His car is nowhere to be seen, but his outfit and his skin that is glistening with sweat in the dim light from above our front door, also suggests that he's simply just out for a run.

He's wearing running shoes and navy blue football shorts, along with a black T-shirt with the sleeves  cut off and his hair is pulled back with a hair band, which looks strangely good on him.

It's almost freezing temperatures, so even though he's running he must be freezing his ass of in that outfit, but I must admit he looks really hot anyway, and the cut off sleeves makes his shoulders look broader and his slender arms look really ripped.

- "Yeah sorry, didn't know if your parents were home," he says with a small smirk, and digs into the pocket of his shorts as I wrap my fingers around my arms to keep them warm.

- "They are," I say, as he gives me a little box with the words "plan B" written on it, and I frown and look into his eyes that are gleaming invitingly in the dim light. They are a bit red, but it's also quite windy tonight.

- "Apparently they work for 72 hours," he points at the box, containing the the-morning-after-pill and gives me a little hopeful smile that I can't help but return.

- "Really?"
He nods, and I literally feel a sense of relief washing through me as we lock eyes.

I'm not gonna be pregnant, my parents will never know anything, and well - my life isn't ruined.
Fuck yes!

However I can't believe I didn't just google it or something - or that's probably what Zayn did.
"So. False alarm.." I say, sort of grinning of relief.

 - "Told you I'd figure something out," he says and leans against the wall with a smug smile playing on his lips, and I roll my eyes, turning the little box in my palm.

- "You did, didn't you?" I agree, and lean against the cold wall next to him while he glances at me, puts his hands down his pockets, and looks down.

- "So. Everything's good now right?" he glances at me again and I hold his gaze. "- like between us."

- "Yeah I suppose," I say, feeling as if the relief I'm feeling right now has completely dissolved the annoyance I felt towards him for not telling me about the broken condom right away.

He smiles at this, stepping away from the wall, and takes his hands out of his pockets again.
- "Well then, I'll run home again yeah?" he says, leaning in as he plants a soft kiss on my lips as I nod, and he takes a  step backwards to leave again - but I tug lightly at his wrist to stop him.

If I don't ask I'll regret it later.

- "What if I was?" he turns around and he raise his eyebrows in confusion. "-pregnant," I ask, well knowing that I probably wont like the answer.

- "You're not. I mean, you wont be," he says quietly and I let go of him again as his eyes land on my hand around his wrist.

- "I know but what if -"

- "I don't know. You aren't," he cuts me off, tensing his strong jaw. "Zoe.."

- "I know," I say feeling slightly hurt as he gives me a warning glance. "but would you just dump-"

- "I don't wanna talk about it!" He says, raising his voice to shut me up, before speaking to me in his normal soft voice again. "Zoe just forget about it.. I can't think about that right now,"
