Liam's POV~

Miranda and I walked off somewhere to the right. We walked in silence until my eyes caught something.

Miranda stopped and lightly bumped into my shoulder. “Sorry.” I apologized, almost automatically.

“What’s wrong?” She asked innocently.

I couldn’t really answer her. I kept staring at the shop in front of me. American eagle. It was Danielle’s favorite. Whenever we went shopping we always stopped by so she could buy something.

Danielle. Even thinking her name hurt me. It had been over a month since she broke up with me. She couldn’t handle a long distance relationship. Not to mention all the hate she was getting from some fans.

It felt like somehow it was my entire fault. I wasn’t always there for her. I was always travelling around the world, living my dream. It didn’t seem fair.

“Is everything okay, Liam?” Miranda’s sweet voice brought me out of my depressing thoughts. I looked over at her confused and concerned face.

I smiled a small little smile. For once it wasn’t completely forced. Though we were trapped inside a mall, I was having a great time so far. “It’s nothing.” I assured her. “Let’s go find somewhere to sleep.”

She nodded, deciding to drop the topic. I was thankful for that.

We walked around a little more, looking around for something. We hadn’t found anything yet. While we were walking in silence, I couldn’t help but look over at her. Her long, slightly wavy, dark brown hair. Her bright, clear blue eyes. The way her too long bangs covered some of her eyes. In short she was beautiful.

I quickly snapped out of my little fantasy of her. I wasn’t ready yet. It was too soon. My heart still ached for Danielle. I quickly looked away from her, realizing I was staring. That was awkward.

“What about here?” she asked, pointing to a store directly in front of us.

I shrugged. “Might as well look inside.”

Walking inside, I noticed that it was one of those stores that sold almost everything. Clothes, shoes, bed sheets, food, everything.  Wait, if they sold bed sheets, then that meant there had to be a dis-

“There!” Miranda exclaimed running towards a display bed, just like I thought. Wait a minute, there was only one. Miranda seemed to be thinking the same thing “Is there another one? Or is this it?”

“Um,” I looked around. There had to be another one here somewhere. Unfortunately this was it. “I don’t think there’s another bed.”

“What?” Her blue eyes were wide. “Does that mean we have to share?”

I nodded. “I could find another place to sleep if you want?”

She shook her head, causing her hair to cover her face. “No! I don’t want to be here all alone.”

“Are you scared?”

Her cheeks started to redden. “Yeah,” she mumbled.

I smiled. She was so cute sometimes. “Don’t worry, I won’t go. I’ll be right here if you need anything.”

She smiled back. Then she looked down noticing what she was wearing. “Ew! I’m still all sticky. I don’t want to ruin these pretty sheets so I think I’ll get cleaned up. I think I some pyjamas somewhere back there.” She pointed with her thumb behind her.

I nodded. “Yeah I think I’ll get cleaned up too. But wait. If we wear the clothes here, wouldn’t that be stealing?”

“um, I think it’s okay if we explain to the owner how we were trapped and all dirty so we had no other clothes. I think they’ll understand.”

“Yeah I guess. Well, we better get started then.”

We both walked in opposite directions, in order to find something to wear. I passed the men’s pyjamas and chose the ones I liked best. I ended up with a blue checked bottom and a t-shirt with woody and buzz lightyear from toy story on it. I was surprised they actually had this in my size.

After getting cleaned up the best I could, I went back over to the bed we had to share. When I reached there, I saw Miranda sitting cross-legged on the bed wearing some light green, Kermit the frog pyjamas. They suited her surprisingly well. She hadn’t noticed I was there yet. She seemed to be staring of into space as she expertly braided her long hair. I watched her for a bit, admiring the way she smiled as she thought of something.

“Hey.” I said, walking over to sit on the edge of the bed.

“Hey” she smiled, showing her perfect, white teeth.

I smiled back before grabbing a soft blanket on the rack near us.

“How long do you think we’ll be here?” she asked, as we laid down, the blanket warming us.

“I don’t know”

She sighed. “I hope we get out of here soon. I mean, I love hanging out with you and the boys, but I really miss my family.”

“I like hanging out with you guys too. You’re really funny.”

She snorted, which made her giggle a little after, realizing the sound she made. “We don’t try to be funny.”

“You don’t need to. You guys are amazing, just the way you are.”

She turned her head to face me. “Do you really mean that?”

“Yes. I really do.” And I honestly did.

She smiled a little then yawned. “I see someone’s a little sleepy” I commented.

She giggled. “I guess I am.” She yawned again, before turning around her back facing me. “Goodnight Liam.”

“Goodnight, Miranda.” I whispered, but she had already fallen asleep.
