AoT SnK: (Jean x OC) Something worth fighting for

Chapter Twenty one

                Only a few days had past when it was time for the scout regiment's trial. I lean against the stiff cushion of the carriage, sulking behind the small cloth that covered my window. Jean sat across from me, looking ridiculous with his disguise. I sighed silently, knowing it was all part of the plan. I'm just glad i was allowed by corporal Levi to stay with Jean. The military police fussed but i lied and said i was incharge of watching him. "so he cant do any funny buisness." i recalled.  Jean glanced at me, his forehead trickled with cold sweat. Jean was nervous, so were we all.

                This was all part of the plan...Today is when we catch the female titan. Images of the failed expedition flew through my mind, sending shivers down my spine. I was going to capture the female titan, in hopes of reminding her how much pain i was in. My arm was barely better, but it was good enough. My mind had decided, today was the day i proved my worth to the scouting regiment. I want to be a valuable asset to them, like my father had been. My thoughts were brought back to reality as the carriages stopped, and there was a loud crash.

                Jean began to stand up, only stopping as i grabbed his arm and pulled him back down. "It is to soon to run after them. Jean they are trusting you to play your role..." i cooed, trying hard to convince him to stay. Jean's eyes connected with my pale blue eyes, he nodded and sat down. "You're right Kat..." he murmured. I smiled and leaned forward to place my lips gently against his. Jean tried to put his hand on y cheek but realized he still had his handcuffs on. "damn..." he hissed before placing his lips back on mine.

                I pulled back first, staring into his hazel eyes that reflected the love i had felt. "Be careful out there today." i murmured. Jean chuckled "You're the one who always gets hurt, i should be telling you the same thing!" We laugh and interlace our fingers. This moment, i wish it would never end. Another loud CRASH could be heard in the distance. "time to go!" i smiled weakly. Jean kissed my forehead before jumping out of the carriage begging Erwin to let him join his comrads. The military police sure were thrown in a loop when Jean threw his disguise off. I gave him a cat call as we both ran off, ready to help the scout regiment catch the threat we know as the female titan...Annie Lionhardt

                Jean and I glided  through the air, quickly spotting the female titan. I notice Eren down belw us and shout towards Jean "Jean! Eren is down there!" Jean nods and lands beside him. No matter how badly i wanted to follow him, i had a mission to fulfill. "be careful" i mouthed down at him before gliding towards Mikasa, who was distracting the female titan. I shoot a cable out to the titans shoulder and swing my self upward before she could grab my cable. "Nice try Annie!" I shouted as the titan looked up at me.

                Mikasa shouted a few words but i didnt pay attention because the femal titan's hand came a little to close for comfort. I swerve out of the way, barely dodging Annie's hand. "Annie!" i shouted at the towering giant. "Please, things dont have to be like this!" though i hated Annie for what she did to the scout regiment, i saw something in her eyes that told me she had reasons. I shot my cable to the titans shoulder and shot myself in the air. "Annie just talk to us!" i screamed. Annie looked at me, her blue eyes reflecting the words "I'm sorry.."

                I stared back into those blue eyes, guilt and sympathy trickled its way into my heart, but my will to fight did not waver. "then please forgive me..but as a member of the scout regiment i must stop you!" i yelled as i dived past Annie, cutting her cheek revealing her teeth. Mikasa soon flew past me attempting to slash the titan also. I stumbled on top of a roof nearby, looking at Annie with sorrowful eyes. I heard someone scream nearby before a flash of lightning caught my eye and led to the now titan Eren. 

                "Eren!" Mikasa shouted. I watched in awe as The fight between Eren and Annie carried on. Eren...you have to win...I thought. I'm sorry Annie...but there is no mercy for traitors.

                                * Time Skip * 

                Annie looked so peaceful as she 'slept' in her ice crystal. Jean repeatedly hit the ice, trying to get Annie out of the ice. I slumped against the wall looking at Annie's sleeping form. What was so important that you locked yourself away in a crystal? Sighing, i walk up to Jean gently grabbing his hand as he stared down at Annie. "Jean, lets go.." i whispered. With those words, Jean tightened his grip on my hand, and we turned to walk away. Though Annie was beyond our reach, somehow, i felt as if we won. 

                Mama, Papa, Gem, I'm slowly making my way to the top, and soon...I'll kill every titan till i believe you are avenged. Just watch me till then..
