"Winter is coming, and we know what's coming with it. We can't face it alone."

Three months later
Dear Carl,
It's been tough past few months. We've met a new group who dress as walkers to blend in. Their leader did some horrible things, and now it feels like we're back to square one.
I used to try and have faith. Sure, I never really believed in God, especially after the world fell apart, but now more than ever, I've lost hope. The skins killed 10 of our people, and I'm sure you can see that. Even if I don't believe in God, I do believe in something after death. I have to. It's what has kept me going, especially after losing so many people. Enid, Henry and Tara had all been horrifically killed among the ten fallen. I do hope that they are all up there with you, Carl.
There is a storm coming, and it's the first time in a long time that I've seen snow, and I read once in a book that snow meant hardships. So I need all of you up there now more than ever. Please take care of us. I can feel it coming.
Forever yours,
Skylar
It's been nearly impossible to go on these past few months. Kingdom had fallen apart, and we needed to get their people to safety, especially with the snowstorm coming. Even after all the death around me, I was still surrounded by people I loved and loved me. Daryl and Michonne, of course, and I had come to grow very fond of Lydia and Ben.
Lydia felt so much guilt because her mother and I could honestly say that she shouldn't feel that way. She felt loved and supported by us and just wanted what was best, but Alpha had other plans.
I coped the best I could and just tried to live. Focus on the good. Sure, there wasn't much of it, but it's what I had to do.
I had stayed in the Kingdom with Daryl, Ben and Lydia for a little while now. I wanted to help the best I could. I couldn't imagine what Carol was going through right now.
I slipped on my winter boots and coat, also adding a hat and mittens. It was so weird having to wear all of this.
"Don't forget your scarf," Ben mumbled, picking up my navy blue scarf that was hanging on the back of the door. I held up my mitten clad hands, which were bulky and made simple tasks difficult to do. I gave him a pleading look, and he smirked, walking up to me and bundling the scarf around my neck, keeping us very close.
He smelled of fresh pine and the chilly outdoors. I breathed out slowly, locking eyes with him. I hadn't noticed, but his head was ducked down, and our faces were inches apart.
"Let's go," Lydia called, opening the door quickly, and I jumped, taking a step back and feeling my cheeks go pink, even in the cold air.
"Coming," I muttered, and Ben smiled slightly, guiding me out the door and down to the gate.
