"I could start fires with what I feel for you."

Two months later
"Did you use my hairbrush again?" I yelled at Carl.
"Maybe," he said sheepishly, coming around the corner with my hairbrush in hand.
"I told you to either ask me or get a freaking haircut!" I smiled at him.
"This is more fun. You're cute when you're mad," he chuckled and kissed my lips quickly.
This felt normal. We felt normal.
Rick's music was playing, and there was a constant banging coming from the other room.
"Carl! Would you stop that?" I yelled at him.
Judith giggled as I was sitting on the floor playing with her. Rick sat in a chair next to me, digging another loophole into his belt, probably from the weight he lost. Rations were getting dangerously low, and the majority of us were losing weight due to the size of our community and the little amount of food.
My thoughts were interrupted by Michonne walking out with a robe around her body and a towel in her hair.
"Do you have any toothpaste left?" She asked Rick.
I smiled, knowing that she's been the one stealing it.
"No, 'cause someone's been borrowing it every day for two weeks."
I laughed lightly and was making funny faces at Judy. She loved it and could be entertained by this for hours.
"Carl!" Michonne yelled, obviously annoyed with the constant sound of the tennis ball hitting the wall.
"What? Denise says it's PT," he defended.
I rolled my eyes since he always used that excuse. Denise was right, but there were other ways to practice without destroying the wall.
"I can't hear you. Come on out," Rick said.
Carl stood up and came to the doorway.
"Denise says it's PT," Carl and Rick said in unison.
"You heard me," Carl smirked, annoyed.
"Yeah."
"It's time to change your bandage," I butted in, reminding Carl.
"I need to borrow some toothpaste," Michonne said.
"Okay, but I'm out of toothpaste," Carl replied, throwing the ball to Rick.
"Not so nice when people use your stuff, huh?" I smiled at Carl as he pulled me up to his side.
"Bye, dad."
