Again, Tyler wakes up first. The thing that actually wakes Josh up is Tyler's singing from the shower, nearly shouting one of the songs from the Soccer Dad record Josh bought him.

He turns in the bed, looking for his pants, and finds his cellphone, which has three missed calls from Young Ryan. Just as he's about to dial him, Young Ryan starts to call again.

"Yo, is everything okay?" Josh asks.

"No, everything is a disaster!" Young Ryan yells, making him pull the phone away from his ear. Josh can hear the smoke alarm going off in the background, along with Max's signature screaming and Hayley arguing with Jon.

"What'd you do, burn your apartment down?"

"Not our apartment, fortunately." Hayley's suddenly on the phone. "We're at yours and it's come to my attention drunk Jon can't cook for sh-"

"Hey, watch your mouth, kid!" Max shouts.

"Back off, old man. How the hell do you burn eggs?"

"Fuck you!"

"What do you guys need?" Josh throws his pants aside, going through Tyler's clothes as his clothes were far from clean after three days. He finds a pair of boxers, jeans, and a sweatshirt and walks into the kitchen, still on the phone. "If we still have takeout, just eat my leftovers."

"I think we're going to eat out, but we're broke and can't figure out how to pull our loose change to get food." The smoke alarm stops beeping, and Hayley sighs in relief. "I'll keep you updated on the sitch, if you care at all."

"Hey, wait, why don't you guys come over to eat here with us?"

She scoffs, and Josh can almost hear her roll her eyes. "No thanks, lover boy. I don't think your new roommate would want a bunch of weirdos like us in his fancy pants apartment."

"You're my friends. We're all a package deal. Ty will just have to deal with it." Josh knows he made her smile with that. "At least let me ask him before you say no. I'm sure he'd love to have you."

"I'm sure he'd rather jump in front of a moving train than eat brunch with your mentally unstable ex girlfriend and your former FWB."

He checks the fridge, seeing enough food to feed him, after, and his four friends. "You're hilarious, Hayl. I'll call you back."

"Don't." She's joking.

Josh steps into the bathroom just as Tyler steps out, wrapping a towel around his waist. Steam turns his face blurry, so Josh steps into Tyler too see him clearer and wraps his arms around him, leaning in to kiss him.

Tyler leans back with a sly smile. He scrunches his nose up, kissing Josh's nose, and flicks the band of Josh's boxers. "Brush your teeth first, stinky boy, before you try to kiss me."

"I don't have a toothbrush," Josh says. "That's like, next level relationship shit."

"Remember, we were dating a while before you got your dumb ass murdered. I have an extra toothbrush under the sink."

Josh crouches, finds said extra toothbrush, and pops it out of the plastic. "It feels like I live here. Like, should I start paying you rent?"

Tyler laughs, grabbing a smaller towel off a rack and drying his hair with it. "Definitely," he grins, seeing the clothes Josh had grabbed from his drawers. "And extra if you're going to wear my clothes too."

"I think I can find another way to repay you." Josh sets the toothbrush on the edge of the sink and stays in his knees in front of Tyler, tugging at the towel on his waist. He pulls it off completely. "If that's okay with you."

"I forgot how horny you are," Tyler laughs again, cutting himself off with a shaky breath when Josh's hand goes under the towel. "Finally, someone to keep you with me."

Josh kisses the inside of his thigh, and he feels Tyler shudder under his touch. "Is that a challenge?"

"I don't know, is it?"

Tyler shuts up once Josh's mouth is around him, falling against the sink with noises that Josh wishes he heard earlier. Josh likes this way to shut Tyler up that benefits them both and wants to do more but knows 1.) Tyler's not comfortable with that yet and 2.) he still hasn't brushed his teeth.

Needless to say, Tyler has to shower again, this time Josh joining him.
