Here's an anti-climatic chapter :)
Jolene's sat with her arms crossed in the back seat of Gianni's car. Gianni was on the complete opposite side of the car. The two said nothing to each other. He had his driver picked them up because Jolene was pregnant and in fragile condition. A motorcycle was not an ideal way to bring her home.
Jolene gave him the occasional side eye. Gianni sat with his jaw clenched tapping his fingers against the glass. "Can you stop?" Jolene whispered to herself.
"It's my d*mn car." Gianni hissed. Jolene's slouched back into the seat rolling her eyes. "I need to go to my house."
"Why?" He snapped. "Because you're kidnapping me and I need clothes." She said like it was obvious. Gianni hid his blush. She was right he totally forgot she needed clothes.
"Okay." Jolene continued to stare at him to see if he would say anything else. He didn't. She watched them pull into her drive way. She smiled as her men became alert.
Once she stepped out of the car they lowered their weapons. She walked inside to be greeted with an angry Marcus and a guilty Mage.
"Jo what the f*ck!" He snapped. "What do you mean what the f*ck?" Jolene glared at him. "You haven't been talking to me about anything and putting yourself in crazy situations and you're pregnant?"
Jolene scrunched her face in annoyance. "I can't believe you've been so reckless that you got yourself preg- pregnant! And you haven't been taking care of yourself have you?" He scolded.
"You act like this is what I anticipated Marcus." She narrowed her eyes at him. "You put yourself there Jolene. You slept with him for no reason Jo you hate that b*stard!" He exclaimed.
"Now look where you are." Jolene stepped up to get in his face. "Where am I Marcus?" Mage tried to step in before Jolene nudged her back gently.
"I was silent when you were f*cking the enemy. But pregnancy is a whole different ball game! Did you keep the baby?" Marcus secretly hoped she did. Maybe it would do her some good. But ultimately he knew Jolene and she probably didn't.
