Five days..

Jo has been sitting by his side for five days. Vincent was awake now, but barely there. He didn't move much but he still had his filthy motor mouth going.

"This f*cking hurts." He whined pointing at his IV. Jo wiped her tears before rolling her eyes. "Don't even think about pulling it out again."

Vincent smirked before lying back. "I wasn't gonna." He lied. Jolene just clenched her jaw and looked out the window.

"Jo." He coughed.

"I'm sorry for ruining your engagement party." Vince frowned. "You didn't ruin anything. Your health is more important to me than a few minutes of happiness."

Vincent sighed. "Jolene you have to stop prioritizing me over you family. You have a FAMILY now."

"I'm not putting anyone over anyone." She mumbled crossing her arms. "Jo." She didn't turn to look at him.

"Jolene. Go home and be with your family when you leave today." Vincent smiled.

"I'm not leaving today. I'm not leaving you." She said stubbornly. Vincent chuckled "Man you're such a pain in my a**."

She didn't laugh.

"Please Jo. You don't know the guts it took that kid to propose to you. He's so kind hearted and patient." Vincent insisted.

She swallowed slowly looking at her father.

"What do you mean?" She looked at him in surprise.

Vincent smiled.

Gianni was pacing back and forth outside of Vincent's hospital bedroom.

"Sir I was wondering if I could have your blessing to... F*ck no... Madden if you'd let me I would love to marry... D*mmit." Gianni sighed tugging on his hair.

"Giordano please stop pacing in front of my door and come in." Vincent's voice echoed.

Gianni froze but hesitantly walked in the door. "Um hi." He rocked back and forth on his heels.

"So...why are you here to visit little ole me? You've got Jo in your house now, there's no more tactics I can give you."

Gianni chuckled awkwardly. "I don't need much advice, I just... I wanted to ask if I could marry your daughter."

Vincent didn't say anything he just stared at him before he burst into laughter. "Hell yeah you can! I've been waiting for you to stop being a p*ssy and come ask me."

Gianni exhaled. "Thank God." Vincent kept laughing. "I don't know why you're so scared of me. I heard some crazy stories about you feeding men to your dogs. I've never done sh*t like that."

"W-What? I-" Gianni thought about lying but decided just to shut up. "Yeah just a little rumor I suppose?" Vincent smirked.
