Since this chapter is so short and pointless I'll post another.

Ricardo ate his food as he looked through the snap shots of Gianni. Walking, working, following an unknown woman around.

Gianni. He had everything. Everything and yet never could be satisfied with it. His life couldn't be that hard. Ricardo was discarded to the side like trash raised in poverty with his mother.

Gianni got to live lavishly as the son of the Don and yet Ricardo watched him mop around his whole life from a distance.

Now Gianni looks happier and it's because this strange woman.

Ricardo took a long look at the woman. He could never catch her face. She carried herself as if she always knew cameras were looking for her.

Smart. She was too smart and a smart woman is dangerous.

He could tell she was black and that was all he had to work with. If killing her was what it took to get to Gianni, Ricardo had to take that risk he would rather do this than have the boss do it.

His motive was simple. He was the rightful heir to the Family business. Gianni knew that and still stole his rightful place. Gianni would pay for his father's sins soon enough.

He sent his best men to monitor the girl who has yet to show her face out side of the house.

Ricardo made a deal with someone who he trusted to get the job done. And he knew it wasn't going to fail.

_________

Jolene was feeling under the weather today. She felt like such a shell. Hiding her pain behind sex and the walls of her bedroom.

She would visit Vincent still but it wasn't the same. He would talk a lot more in hopes of getting her to speak to him but she just did her duties, making sure he was living in a clean cell and took his medicine before pecking his head and walking out.

She decided she needed to take a break from Gianni even though she was beginning to crave being around him. It was becoming too much for her. It was all too much for her.

She was depending heavily on having sex with him to make her feel better.

Finding out Vincent had cancer ruined any schedules or plans she had. She dropped everything to care for him because she loved her father.

"Jolene." Marcus knocked on her bedroom door. "Come in." Her voice came out soft.

Marcus stepped inside letting the look of horror set on his face seeing Jolene so thin and worn down. She had circles under her eyes and a blanket wrapped around herself.

Marcus took a seat on the bed and pulled Jolene into his arms. Normally Jolene would gag at how mushy he was being but Jolene let him hold her. She needed her pseudo-brother's comfort. "Jo listen to me. I know you are stressed and don't want to talk about your problems but you HAVE to let somebody help you. Let someone in Jo. You're sick. You look terrible I'm taking you to the doctors."

Jolene shook her head with an eye roll. "I'm fine I'm just stressed out. Did my guns come in?"

"You let me worry about the business, you know I can keep it moving." He insisted.

Normally Jolene wouldn't go down without a fight but she was so tired she just nodded before laying back foam out of his grasp. A stray tear racing down her cheek.

"Jo I'm scared for you." Marcus's shaky voice came out. "Yeah... me too."

_____

"Capo we have a possible name on the girl." One of Ricardo's men spoke up. "Really?"

"If She is who I think she is I don't think it's wise for us to continue this expedition."
The man cleared his throat nervously.

Ricardo's dark brown eyes narrowed in annoyance at the cowardice man. Ric got up and pressed his pocket knife against his bobbing Adam's apple. "And who the hell should I be afraid of exactly?"

"A Madden sir..." the man whispered. Ricardo immediately pulled the knife back.

"We should be afraid of a Madden." Ricardo's face contorted into confusion and a bit of hesitance. He's never faced a Madden. Vincent Madden was in prison. He didn't know that his daughter was still around.

He quickly scolded himself for being a coward. She was a woman. She's not nearly as strong as him and women never think with their head. She was an easy target to Ricardo.

Thus making Gianni an easy target.

But the look on his man's face believed she was lethal. Ricardo didn't need cowards on their side. "I'll send your wife my regards." He grunted before shooting the man straight in the forehead.

Ricardo picked up the picture of Jolene and stared at it. She was... attractive for a black woman but just another causality soon enough.

He needed to get to Gianni before his boss did.
