Ricardo looked at the photos he had kept up with tentatively.

Jolene Madden.

The longer he looked at her the more interested he became. Something was off about her. Besides her pregnancy she only was a mere woman after all. At least that was the impression he got from photos.

But she walked like she had a chip on her shoulder. Like she had more to her than meets the eye. She walked like she was dangerous.

Dangerous was Ricardo's favorite flavor. However he never liked negroes. Slavery had ended and yet they still complain. Now they had Martin Luther King Jr. rioting for them. Italians never complained about being mistreated. (lol shut up Ricardo)

He would normally never consider siding with a negro but the dangerous woman elicited a hunger of power in him. She was a weakness of Gianni.

She and Ricardo would make a fabulous team but seeing as she has been impregnated by his disgrace of a brother made her off the market.
Unless he played his cards right.

"Ricardo the Boss is here to speak with you." His accomplice emerged in his office. Ric hesitantly put the photos of Jo down before walking to his study to see the man who wanted his attention. The man who would get him his place as Don over Gianni.

Jolene has finally reached 7 months. Gianni has to face the final trimester wrath. She was horribly snarky. Always talking under her breath at him.

It was annoying because Gianni had to revert to French to talk sh*t about her attitude since she understood Italian. And that pissed her off even more.

Despite her phase, the two of them have been improving greatly. This trimester really brought out the angry pregnant woman in her.

For instance, Gianni changed his cologne because he ran out of his old one and Jolene actually threw a fit. Talking non sense about him "changing himself for no reason" to which Gianni just shut her up with a kiss and saying he would get some more.

And when he changed his shampoo she nearly cried for no reason. And again he kissed her and got the old one back.

Another thing he learned was he just had to touch her to throw her off her ranting. If no one has noticed yet Jolene Madden has a filthy mouth on her, so quick stolen kisses were Gianni's resolution. Also he took any excuse to kiss her.

He had to say this pregnancy made Jolene want to be under him a lot. She even had to be in touching distance at dinner and on the couch but he didn't mind

Coming to terms with the fact he was aware he loved her was weird for him. How was he in love with her? She was mean to him for the majority of their interactions. It didn't make much sense to Gianni. But he stopped trying to figure out his heart and just accept it.

Hence why he found himself face to face with an intimidating Vincent Madden in the state prison.

"Giordano." Vince spoke lowly in greeting.

Gianni had his hands clasped together to keep from shaking. This was still the man who killed his entire family so underestimating wasn't in Gianni's best interest.

"Madden."

Vincent gave him a chilling smile. "I'm surprised your bold Italian a** actually came here to see me, knowing very well I'm not happy with you for impregnating my daughter."

Gianni gulped. He had already hit strike one and two without even doing anything. "Um I'm sorry about that. I j-just wanted to talk."

Vincent suddenly laughed loudly making Gianni flinch in surprise. "Relax kid it doesn't take a genius to figure out Jolene seduced you and got herself in that predicament. But still not many men would go as far as to meet the woman's father."
