Well we are so close to the end but not quite yet.💜

May 2nd, 1964
Paris, France

It was a sunny day.

Her wedding day.

They left for Paris two days ago. Vincenzo was not happy once his parents left him with Mage and Marcus. Not happy at all and Jo was even hesitant to leave him for so long but they pushed her to go have fun.

They only got here last night and basically slept all the way until this very moment.

Jolene Madden was outside sitting in the garden trying to ease her nerves. No one was here but her, the pastor and Gianni and she was still nervous.

She smoothed her lace white dress and ran her fingers through her straightened hair and sighed. Is this what wedding jitters were? She wished her mom was here to calm her down. Give her some advice on how to do this but she was on her own.

She felt warmth near by as a person sat beside her. It was the pastor. Jo was surprised he bothered to be close to her since she was black and all but the little old man didn't seem bothered in the slightest.

"What troubles you daughter?" He asked in his heavy French accent. Jolene shook her head. "Just nervous." She whispered. "You seem sad."

"I lost both of my parents..so yeah I'm pretty d*mn sad." She played with the flowers risen from the dirt.

The man nodded before taking her hand. Before Jolene could question him he gave her a folded up piece of paper. "Your groom knows you very well. He sent me out here to give this to you."

The man patted her shoulder and walked off leaving Jolene to open the paper alone.

Dear Jo,

If you're reading this note it means I lost the battle to cancer.

I wish I had more in me to win but it just wasn't in God's will. I'm writing this letter to you for your wedding day. I gave this to Gianni long before he came to me about proposing to you.

I'm so proud of ya kid. I know for a fact you look breathtakingly beautiful. Just like your mom did. I'm happy you've gotten rid of that anger in your heart and found someone to care for you.

I missed my little brat who loved butterflies and her hair in cute twisty pigtails. Yes I'm still the only person who knows about your secret obsession with butterflies. Don't worry I won't tell anyone. Get it? Because I'm already dead? Too soon I guess.

Anyways Jo I'll never leave you. I promise I'll follow you and whenever you need me or need reassurance I'm in paradise with your mother, find a Blue Morph and then you'll get your answer.

Yeah I know Blue Morphs are in South America but I am trying to be majestic. You know?

Anyways I wish I got the chance to meet the other cute kids you'll bring up but I'll watch you all from a distance. Leave Boston and find where YOU belong and where YOU want to be Jo. Don't live for anyone but your family.
