Colby's POV

My eyes widened as the gun men came into our view, shot firing. I jumped back out the way, looking behind me to see Jon and Renee making a run for it along with everyone else. I knew I should be following them, trying to get to safety, but there was no safe place for me without my wife there. Looking around I made a run for a side door that would by pass the shooter, leading me to a different hallways. I prayed to whatever higher power, even though I wasn't a religious man by any means, that I would go unnoticed. Making it to the other door, I tried to calm my beating heart and my nerves as I looked up and down the hall, seeing only running people and no guns. With a deep breath in, I began to run in the direction that everyone was running from.

Turning the corner I stopped in my tracks, ducking down between two big equipment boxes as I saw another gun men opening fire down the opposite hallway. Screams and foot steps, begging and pleading could be heard as the shots continued to ring out. I stayed hidden as people ran past me, drops of blood on the floor caught my eye, making my heart pound more. What the hell was going on?

I peeked out from my hiding spot, seeing the gun men was gone and jumped up making a dash down the hall again. My eyes darted around me in search of my beautiful wife. The loud pops from guns still sounding out around the building as I ran. Coming up on catering a stopped, my breathing rapid as I took in the site. Bodies laid around lifeless, blood on the floor in random spots, tables flipped over, bullet holes everywhere. My heart leaped in my throat at the sight of this horror. Not once in my mind did I ever think I would be living through this situation. A cough from back in the distance caught my attention and I cautiously made my way towards it, looking around for my own safety. Rounding the corner I let out a breath as my eyes landed on Corey and Pam.

"Baby!" Pam gasped, jerking me down behind the table, her arms wrapped around me tightly as she cried into my chest.

"Shh, I got you. I got you babe." I closed my eyes, breathing in her scent and thanking whomever for letting me find her.

A cough sounded again, causing my eyes to land on Corey. His hand was covering his right pec, his shirt covered in blood and his skin was extremely pale.

"Shit, Graves man." I gently tugged away from Pam, reaching towards my friend.

"It's good to see you brother." Corey spoke with a tiny smile and lowered voice. "Just wish it was under different circumstances."

"You've been hit?" I reach toward him. "Let me see."

Corey winced, biting down on his bottom lip as he leaned forward letting me take a peek at his back. I gently moved his shirt over, letting out a gasp as I saw his back was covered in blood as well, the obvious bullet hole in his shoulder. I sat him back gently, grabbing a table cloth and ripping it quickly.

"Your loosing a lot of blood brother." I spoke as calmly as possible. "Here, hold this against it." I handed him some of the table cloth.

Corey hissed as he held it the the wound in the front, his eyes closing which caused two big tears to fall down his face. I glanced back at my wife, to see her face held fear and her cheeks where damp from crying.

"You okay baby?" I asked quietly. "Your not hurt?"

"No I'm not hurt. I was coming out of the bathroom when it all happened." She sniffled, talking quietly as the pop sounds still rang out in the building. "I was running when I spotted Corey, he was on his phone. When I went towards him, a man with a gun stepped out and shot at him directly. I swear I recognized the voice." She shook her head, looking back at Corey.
