I was awoken the next morning by kisses being peppered all over my back, shoulder and neck. My eyes slowly opened, taking in the fact that the sun was barely shining through the curtains in the bed room which made me groan, hearing a slight chuckle from the culprit that woke me up. I was laying on my stomach, hugging my beloved body pillow beneath me.

"Baby girl." Joe whispered against my ear, placing a soft kiss there as well.

"Mm, what time is it?" I growled out sleepily.

"It's just before dawn." He replied back lowly, leaning back so I could roll over to my back.

"Have you lost your mind?" I asked, looking up at him, not being able to hold back the smile that came to my lips due to the smile that graced his flawless face.

"Well, seeing as you refused to spend the night in the same bed with me last night." He rose a brow causing me to snicker. "I had to make sure I told you goodbye before I headed out with the boys."

"Oh, your fishing trip." I sighed, remembering the planned fishing trip the boys where all excited for last night. "Why are you leaving so early?"

"Best catch is early in the morning baby." He leaned down pecking my lips a few times. "I mean, I could be persuaded to skip the trip." He replied with a wink.

"Down boy." I chuckled, running my hands up and down his arms. "You need to go out and spend some time with your Dad. He was so excited last night, and you know my dad loves fishing too."

"I know but seeing as my girlfriend was so dead set against sharing a bed with me last night, my mind is somewhere else other than fish." He spoke, his eyes boring into mine.

"Joseph" I sighed, closing my eyes.

"I heard you talking to Kelly last night Nonna." Joseph spoke, moving to sit up which also allowed me to as well.

"Kelly and I talked a lot last night babe. I also talked to your mom, your sisters, your cousins, my friends, your friends, and many other people last night." I smiled as he rolled his eyes.

"I walked up on you two discussing the fact that I agreed with my lawyers wishes for a paternity test to be done on Swayze." He spoke.

"Oh." I crossed my arms, leaning back against the headboard.

"Wynonna, please tell me you truly don't believe that I for one second think Swayze isn't mine." He spoke, staring intently into my eyes.

"I just," I took in a breath and looked down. "I wouldn't blame you if you did have some doubts. I did leave over 3 years ago and when I came back into your life, I came with a child."

"Who looks just like me." He responded. "I know she's mine and honestly if it wasn't due to the fact that the test would prove Kaiser has no rights to her at all unless you wish for him to, I wouldn't even want to do it. You think I want my daughter to have a memory of us taking a paternity test? I don't want her for one second to ever think that I doubted her, because it's not true."

"I'm sorry." I replied, moving to be closer to him. "I shouldn't have even let it cross my mind but so much has gone on Joe." I sighed, leaning my forehead against his shoulder. "Apart of me is just waiting for your to realize being with me is too much trouble, or for this to all be some twisted dream and I wake up back in Colorado where Swayze still believes Kaiser is her dad and I'm stuck lying to everyone about my feelings for him."

"Wynonna your the kind of trouble I will always want in my life. I've lived without you once and I don't ever want to experience emptiness like that again." His arm wrapped around my waist.
