One week had passed since Kaiser had been arrested and things were surprisingly quiet. A few days after his arrest I had a meeting with Stephanie and Vince and explained everything that had happened in detail and they had explained that no retaliation from the company would be felt. Personal relationships shouldn't reflect the working relationship and as long as our work was still good, Kelly and my company could remain on the road. Vince and Shane had given Kaiser time off until further notice because his temper was still out of sorts when it came to the guys. He and Corey had a huge blow out in front of everyone in a production meeting so it was best for him to take some time away. He tried calling everyday and had sent Swayze and I flowers to every city since he left, but I still hadn't talked to him.
I had spoken with a lawyer my dad knew about a divorce and explained the situation of Swayze to her and her legal team. I would be meeting with her in a few weeks after she drew up some papers for us to go over. I knew it was happening fast but that's how my life worked.
I had been avoiding Joe at every cost. He would spend time with Swayze, even though she still wasn't aware he was her real father. She loved every minute with him, and they spent most of their time together at the arena or in Jon's room. I wasn't angry with Joe for defending us, because frankly Kaiser did start it. I just didn't want to get clouded by emotions when it came to him. Just because I was ending things with Kaiser didn't change our history or the fact that he was still married to Galina. It wasn't fair to her for me to be spending time alone with Joe, so I was keeping my distance.
My parent's would be flying out to Georgia to join us on the road for a few weeks tomorrow and I couldn't be more happier. I need their guidance and words of wisdom at this time. My dad and I were super close and I knew Patty would want to help out with some of the super stars.
"Mommy?"
I looked over toward Swayze as she sat in the sand near my beach chair. We were currently at the beach with Kelly and her children for the day, seeing as it was an off day. I was laying under a big umbrella reading a book as she dug in the sand. Kelly and her children had ventured off into the water.
"Yes baby?" I asked.
"I miss Daddy." She spoke, continuing to put scoops full of sand in her bucket.
"Yeah?" I pushed my sunglasses up into my hair, just looking at her. She hadn't asked about Kaiser since everything happened, and I knew it was coming eventually.
"He love to swim." She smiled toward me.
"Yes he does." I smiled back, scooting toward the edge of my chair.
"But him was bad. Nucle Jon says he mean to Noman." She spoke.
"Your Uncle Jon can't hold water around you huh?" I sighed.
"And my hearded Ellie say Noman my daddy. That true Mommy?"
My heart stopped as I looked at my daughter. Sometimes adults didn't realize children pick up on everything, and I knew Swayze was very observant. But in this moment I didn't know what to say.
"My like Noman. Him nice to me." She smiled brightly.
"He certainly is huh?" I gulped.
"God this weather is amazing!" Kelly shouted as she ran back up to us, grabbing a towel and beginning to pat herself.
"Let's build a sandcastle Swayze." Maxwell replied, taking her hand and walking down a bit into the sand.
I let out a loud groan and let my head fall back.
"What's wrong?" Kelly asked, sitting on the beach chair opposite mine.
"Dude, Swayze just asked me if Roman was her dad."
"What?!" Kelly's eyes bugged out.
"Yes! And she heard it from you loose lips." I narrowed my eyes at her.
"I never told her that." Kelly gasped.
"She overheard you having a conversation with someone." I sighed.
"Well, she is your child." Kelly let out a chuckle. "Kids are sponges."
"Do you think he's told her?" I asked.
"Joe?" I nodded "No, he wouldn't do that without you. She has him wrapped though."
"Yeah. I'm glad their building a relationship." I spoke, looking toward the kids.
"So, I'm not suppose to know this, much less saying anything but Corey and I had dinner with the Good's the other night." Kelly began, I nodded letting her continue. "Jon spilled some tea. Joe and Galina have been legally separated for almost a year now."
"What?" I asked, a little shocked. "He didn't say anything when we spoke about Swayze."
"I don't think it's something he is advertising. Jon said the company knows and their keeping it hush hush because he sells as a family man." Kelly looked over towards me. "And maybe he didn't tell you because he knows how your mind works."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Wy, you've been avoiding the poor guy since everything went down with Kaiser. Your doing it because you don't want him to think your looking for anything other than friendship, but would that be so bad? Your past with him wasn't always bad Wynonna, and he always treated your with respect."
"I'm not even divorced yet bitch." I replied.
"And I'm not telling you to jump his bones, even though we both know you would after a few glasses of wine."
"Kelly!" I tossed my book at her, she caught it chuckling.
"Wynonna, don't push him away okay? Be friends or whatever. But let the man in a bit. If not for you then for Swayze."
I sighed, looking toward my daughter. What could it hurt if I tried to mend some fences with Roman Reigns?
