Wynonna's POV

Tick....tick....tick...tick....tick....tick..

The sound of the clock on the wall was the only thing audible in the room other than Kaiser's heavy breathing. After I had convinced him to let Sasha go, he jerked me back into the room, slamming and locking the door. I sat in the middle of the floor, quiet as a church mouse and not daring to move. This wasn't the same man I had spent all those years with. Something inside this man had changed, something sinister was inside of him now and it was a terrifying thing. Thinking of all those innocent people out there, fans of the company his family ran, that had lost their lives made me sick to the stomach and instant tears well in my eyes.

"The first time I saw you," He spoke from somewhere behind me, "You were sitting with Ambrose out back at an arena in Arizona. Your blonde hair just shined when the sun hit it and I just remembered thinking 'God, where has she been all my life?' You were wearing those god awful bib-overall shorts that you and Renee somehow loved so much, and your famous high top converse that were surprisingly super white for a hairdresser. Ambrose was obviously in the middle of telling you something because his hands were flailing about and his mouth was running one hundred miles per hour, and you kept watching him as if whatever he was telling you was the most important thing in the world. But what stopped my heart and instantly made me fall for you was the laugh that bubbled from between your beautiful lips. It was like a song I had never heard and I was so caught up in the beauty before me. I told myself that if I ever got the opportunity to meet you, I would do everything in my power to make you laugh that way again."

My hands shook in my lap as I listened to him speak. I didn't remember that day, but I remember the bib-overall shorts that I loved so much. They ended up getting ruined when I was painting Swayze's nursery and I never got the chance to get me a new pair. Oh god, Swayze. My baby. The thought of her had tears spilling from my eyes as my fate was in the hands of a mad man. This morning couldn't have been the last time I would get to see my baby. It just couldn't be.

"The first time I had the chance to talk to you when you where on your own was about a week after you came back from your trip to Florida to see him. You didn't think anyone knew about you two but some knew. You had been distant from your dear friends and I noticed it, so I took that as a sign to finally get to speak to you without Corey or Kelly present." I heard him moving around behind me. "I walked into your little hair corner to find you singing and dancing around to a song that I had never heard, but the lyrics looked like they spoke to your soul. Do you remember it Wynonna?"

I licked over my busted lips, wincing at the sting. I did remember that day and the song very well. It was a song my aunt played for me on the day my Grandmother died, and it was my go to when I just needed some reassurance. Some said they couldn't understand why I loved it so much, but it wasn't meant to be understood by anyone else but me. I gasped as I heard the beginning of the song start up.

Do do do do do

Do do do do do

Do do do do do

Do do do do do

Tears fell down my cheeks as I closed my eyes, how could he ruin the meaning of this for me? Or was he trying to tell me something?

"You were wearing that beautiful yellow sundress with the purple flowers all over it. Barefoot and I had never seen a more beautiful sight." He spoke.
