Crystalized Amber

In honor of a dear friend of mine, the author of Amber.

Drips of Amber water harden,

Encrusting deep within.

Something more than a clock,

I will help you through the storm.

Let my words help your heart,

To help you to see the present.

Let me grasp your hands,

I will hold them no matter what.

I will brighten the light and bring it to you,

I will bring you to shore.

As the amber hardens more.

Even with your scars you are beautiful,

Your face shining with the tears of your past.

Love carves perfection,

Where it cannot be replaced.

I will take your heart and lift you up,

And catch you when you fall back down.

There is someone out there,

Who can lift your broken crown,

I see the things that kill you,

Let me take the blow.

Friends will heal you better,

Than you by yourself ever will.
