Tanner finished describing what a mate is and how you can detect it.

Plus, that he will protect me from everyone. Even the moon goddess herself. Himself? I don't know I'm barely a raccoon shifter

"Ok..  well this conversation has been... interesting," I say

He nods smiling like crazy.

"But uh... again... can I get out of these cuffs?" I shake them again

He rolls his eyes, "of course, let me get Amber"

Then his eyes seem to turn gray a bit. Like he was tuning out from the world

Is he going to get bitch face or someone?

I was about to ask what he was doing, but then his eyes have his sparkle back and he smiles at me

"She's on her way"

Soon the door opens and bitch faces comes in

I growl a little

"I got ask and come and undo the cuffs. Can I?" She asks as I believe she wanted permission for her to get closer to me to undo them

I nod and she pulls out the key and undoes them. I rub my hand as she looks at the graphs.

"Any pain ?" She asks

I shake my head no

"Ok, I'm gonna give you pain meds that you are going to need to take twice a day. One in the morning and one at night until the bottle is gone. K?" She asks

I nod.. so sun up to sundown. Easy. Just have to take them home with me

Speaking of which... how did they find me?

"Other than that, don't shift for a week and after that week. Shift and stay in your raccoon form for a week. It will help you and your raccoon form stay and get healthy while you heal. If you forget anything, I bet your mate could help you or else he can send me another message. Anyways it nice to met you Justine " she smiles and walks out with the board.

A nurse comes in and undoes all the wires and such.

I sat up, "that's great... where are my clothes," I ask tanner

"Ummm.  They might have been destroyed when trying to get you help and covered in blood. But hey don't worry. I can take you to my room and let you borrow some clothes"

"Um ok"

He picks me up and carries me out of the room and into an elevator. He presses a button and goes up. Going past like 5 feet of floors before it opens again. I look in and saw it has a gorgeous studio house.

"You live on top of a hospital?" I question him

He shakes his head no, "no... again that was not an ordinary hospital. That was the pack infirmary"

"pack?" I question as he puts me on the couch.

"Remember all the wolfs you encounter?"

I nod

"Remember that huge one?"

I nod again

He backs away and the sound of bones breaking was heard. I know it isn't me... I checked my body

I looked and saw a wolf in front of me... were tanner was...

I hold still as my raccoon part of me wanted to shift and jump on him

I hold back the urge and scratched my arm

Tanner shifts back and grabs my arm.

"Don't do that little one"

"What doo-o you mean?" I stumble with my words

"You'll hurt yourself more" he moves closer and hugs me.

I hug back and then realize...

I feel my face become hot

He backs away and I keep myself from looking down. I turn away so he doesn't see me blushing.

He seemed to get the idea and went to his room.

I went to the couch and sat down, sighing.

Tanner comes back fully clothed and with extra clothes in his hands. I grab the clothes from him and went to the nearest bathroom I could find.

I changed into what seems to be his sweats and a large t-shirt and out of the hospital gowns, or infirmary gowns.
