Shikamaru's PoV

I was walking around the streets with Neji, Choji, Kiba, and Lee when Sakura appeared in front of us.

"Lady Tsunade would like to see you in her office," she told none of us specifically, so we just looked at her confused, "all of you. Go! Chop, chop, she won't wait forever."

"Right..." I muttered as we continued walking together, this time diverting our stroll from the barbeque restaurant we were planning to go to, to the Hokage's office.

"Finally, you're here!" Lady Tsunade exclaimed as we walked into her office, "I have news you're all going to love."

"If you're asking us to walk those dogs again, I'm sorry but I must decline," Choji jumped the gun and shut Lady Tsunade down, she just looked at him annoyed, "sorry... sorry..."

"Anyway. Come on in!" she called, we all looked to the door curiously. When no one came in we looked back forward to see someone in white clothes with hints of blue and black that had no sleeves, and a strange blue tattoo swirling up her arm, neck and face.

Wait—

Looking closer I noticed they have their leaf headband on (your choice of body part) and a strange material with a symbol on their upper right arm despite the symbol also being on the clothes they wore. Her h/l h/c hair was (however you want it styled) and she had a miniature bow tied to a string around her neck. Despite half her face being covered up by a mask, I knew who it was.

"Don't be rude," Lady Tsunade hissed at her. She yawned and hopped off the ledge of the window and looked at us with a respectful smile as she pulled her mask down.

It her.

I know it is.

"Hey! I have returned," she said with a dramatic flourish of her arms.

"Who... are you?" Kiba asked, the girl looked at him in disbelief and I face palmed.

"What a drag," I muttered, Kiba looked at me annoyed.

"Well, if you know who it is, why don't you enlighten us?" he growled at me.

"Kiba. It's really obvious. This person is someone of the l/n clan. She's a friend. F/n l/n, welcome home," I replied, shifting my focus to her. Y/n shot a big smile at me.

"First person in the leaf who didn't think I was a complete stranger," she said, I shook my head.

"Oh no, y/n, I definitely thought you were a stranger when I first saw you," I told her honestly, everyone looked at me in disbelief and she just closed her eyes, smiled at me sweetly and then turned around. The air got cold and then I realised I couldn't move.

"What did you do?!" I shouted, looking at my feet to see ice had formed.

"I thought my first friend of all people would recognise me. Even old Lady Tsunade got me straight away," she whined, wiping away a fake tear. Tsunade looked at her annoyed.

"Old awesome and best Godmother, Lady Tsunade," y/n corrected herself with a cheeky grin.

"I guess I'll let it slide. Anyway, y/n, how was your training? Did you find what you were looking for?" Lady Tsunade asked, the ice melted, and we all looked at her curiously. She moved to the window and looked out again.

"Before we talk about all this fun and jolly stuff, I have information that may be a slight issue at some point," y/n told us before turning around and looking at everyone seriously, "I am in the bingo book. Almost in the top 20 with the highest bounty on my head."

Your PoV

I told them.

They're being eerily silent.

No one's moving.

"Guys?" I called, looking at them worriedly.

"How the hell did you manage to get into the bingo book?!" Shikamaru shouted at me, I flinch at his sudden outburst, "you of all people? How?"

"Don't know," I shrugged, "people are either after me because I'm a guardian or because I'm me. There's no resting."

Tsunade pulled a book out of her desk and started flicking through it.

"Wow, you really are in here," she said, lifting the book and showing everyone.

There were two photos for me—one unmasked, one masked. Of course, no wonder those bounty hunters could spot me so easily.

"The photos aren't even flattering. It seems to get worse every time I see them," I complained as I looked at the terrible mug shots of myself, "anyway, I have the sand siblings keeping an eye on the book so that I can continue with my usual day to day self without worrying about it."

Though, I don't know... I don't think relying on them to keep me updated well enough will be a good idea. But I will anyway but still check on my own from time to time.

"Anyway, as for my training and whether I found what I was looking for..." I diverted the conversation and they all looked at me curiously again, "I found the last few members of my family, turns out there's only 8 Snowflake Guardians and I'm the scroll keeper meaning these stupid marks glow when I meet another l/n clan member."

"You glow?" Lee asked, I nodded but then realised something.

"You're a chuunin now?" I asked looking at his uniform. He smiled his signature sparkling smile and nodded.

"We all are, actually, Neji is a jounin," Kiba said, they all look proud... well except Shikamaru, he was just doing his usual bored expression.

"Wow, I am so proud of you guys," I announced before whistling a high pitch whistle and pulling out a piece of paper, "I forgot to tell them I arrived."

Lei came flying in and perched on my shoulder. I started writing out the note and then put it in the pouch.

"Go to Uncle Sora. Be true to your path," I take her off my shoulder and onto my hand before stretching it out and allowing her to fly away.

"Alright, who's up for food? I'm paying!" I asked, turning around. Choji slung his arm around my neck.

"You really know how to make a man feel great!" he said in a happy sing song tone.

"Yeah, yeah, but no eating more than I can pay for, or you'll forever regret it," I told him. He nodded and let me go.

"Y/n," Tsunade called me, I looked back at her, "nothing's changed has it? You're still a ninja who will die for her village aren't you?"

"Of course, I may have a different appearance and I'm extremely disciplined by those annoying Snowflake Guardians—but I'm the same y/n as I was when I left. Don't worry about it," I assured her before continuing to walk out the room with the others behind me.
