1 month later_

"The day has finally come," Honoko woke me up, my bag in her hand. She grabbed my arm and pulled me off the sofa.

"You think I'm ready?" I asked her, she just smirked.

"Of course! I wouldn't be giving you your bag if I thought you weren't ready—but also, if I didn't think you were it's tough really, your exam is today," she told me as we exited the house, "just remember everything I've taught you over this last month and you'll be fine."

"I will," I confirmed, pulling my bag onto my shoulders and getting ready to leave.

"Y/n," she called just as I was about to shadow hop, I turned to face her curiously.

"Remember our conversation on your first day. Remember your answer," she told me, I smiled and nodded, "also if you're ever in the neck of the woods again, feel free to stop by for a little training."

"I will. I promise!" I told her before stepping into the shadow and disappearing.

The conversation we had that day.

"I know just how to work this training in your benefit. But first, how do you want to hold it? To hurt someone? Defend someone?" she paused, "... or both?"

"I guess I would go for..."

"Y/n! You're back?" the gate keeper pulled me out of my thoughts as I appeared in the shadow of the gate.

"Yes I am," I replied, greeting them.

"Hurry! The final test will be starting soon!" they both yelled in unison, I smiled and started walking in the direction of the arena.

"It would seem we're missing three people still," the guard at the front said to the other, the doors were locked indicating no one was getting in. But then they noticed me approaching them.

"Make that two," the other said before smiling, "welcome, y/n, you're a little late but don't worry, they're still waiting."

"I see, please do allow me to enter," I asked them, they opened the doors, and I started my entrance into the area.

In the centre was a ninja, a new proctor? Most likely.

Then in a line in front of him, were the others in the exam. They all turned to face me.

I kept a poker face on as I approached them.

"I apologise for being late. I've just returned please forgive me," I apologised to the proctor, he just gave me a swift nod and I joined the line.

"There's something different about her," I heard someone whisper. I just smiled.

"Who's missing?" I asked, the proctor looked at me and sighed.

"Sasuke Uchiha and Dosu Kinuta."

"I feel like we'll be standing around for a while then," I shrugged pulling a book out my bag and then dropping it to the floor before reading.

After a while another ninja jumped down and whispered something to the proctor. The ninja disappeared and the proctor was left a bit annoyed.

"I've just gotten word that Dosu won't be joining us," he announced before revealing a new battle assortment. It was the exact same but instead Shikamaru was only battling 1 battle and Dosu was completely wiped off the table.

"Let's begin. If you're not fighting first then please, go wait in the stands," the proctor tells them. I sighed and stayed put along with Riku who glanced over to me, I did the saw and when we caught each other's gazes we both just gave each other a challenging smirk.

"I'll take that up for you," Shikamaru approached me and grabbed my bag and then went for my book, I just swiped it away from him and shook my head. He looked at me confused before shrugging and disappearing into the wall.

"Alright, you two, when you're ready," the proctor said. We both nodded and turned to face each other. The stands around us were most likely completely filled with the villagers and important figures all around the world. I'm also almost certain they're here because there's an Uchiha this year.

I focused my attention on Riku, we both nodded at each other and then bowed before moving away.

"Begin!"

I tucked my book away in the back of my clothes and fell into my taijutsu stance and smiled when he just gave me a look of disbelief.

"Did you leave for nothing? Do you have no new skills?" he shouted at me. I exhaled annoyed.

"Would you mind, I'm going to build up. I don't want to beat you too quickly," I teased him, he glared at me before nodding and jumped further away.

Here comes the genjutsu.

3rd person PoV

Riku caught y/n in a low level genjutsu, he was testing her. He wanted to see whether she could break the jutsu or just get stuck in it.

A few moments passed and she just sat on the floor and pulled her book back out, starting to read again.

"W-w-what the hell are you doing?" Riku stuttered angrily.

"Well, you're not taking this seriously, so neither am I," y/n shrugged, "oh and this story is getting good!"

People in the stands booed, shouted out loudly clearly annoyed and bored.

"So, Riku, they wanted to see a fight, you ready to take this seriously?" y/n asked, peaking over the top of her book.

"I was taking it seriously to begin with!" he shouted back.

"With that low levelled genjutsu? No you weren't," she replied before standing up, tucking her book away again and facing forward, "allow me to make you fight. Seriously. Not as friends, not today."

She sped to his side and kicked him into a tree.

"She's faster than before," he whispered to himself with a small grunt before standing up and pulling out his kunai.

Pushing himself forward he swung the weapon.

Not only had she changed in strength, but she'd also changed her style in outfit. On her arms were guards and she wore shorts and a shirt. Her headband was where is always used to be though.

The kunai clanged when it hit the guard on her arms, she easily blocked his attacks almost like he was just a fly.

Riku's PoV

I just need to get some of her blood, and I can see everything and control her.

Come on, Riku!

Don't let Hyousuke sensei down!
