WHEN M'GANN SAID they should throw a party he had been skeptical and voiced his reasons for such clearly: the people they were supposed to be watching could get up to something while they were missing. However he couldn't refuse M'gann's puppy dog eyes no matter how hard he tried, and even then, Aqualad would have overruled him.

Not that he could really complain-- he was enjoying himself at the café and promised himself that he would come back. The hot cocoa was good, and so was the cake he was eating. Not to mention that he didn't think their team had smiled and laughed this much as just the six of them, not since they came here. When they were together it was tense, serious, foreboding, and with Jim and the others they couldn't really talk to them.

Dick made a point to tell Aqualad to flat-out refuse any more long-term undercover missions, though based on the expression on his face, he was thinking the same thing.

Dick picked up his slice of pizza (which they also served (seriously, this place was awesome)) as he laughed, managing just barely to shove a bite into his mouth through his peels of laughing.

Aqualad then stood, hoisting up his water with lemon as he did. "To Connor, for finally finding his home."

Connor looked embarrassed by his friend's declaration, but laughed it off and toasted with everyone else.

In all, it was a good night.
