[A/N: Sorry, sorry, got distracted— okay, so, I'm nowhere near the halfway point of chapter 100, so, you have a choice: you can pick something I have more of to read while I try and finish this on time (I doubt it) and I'll alternate between the two every other Friday, or I could put this on Hiatus, which I really don't want to do as this is less writer's block, more my mother's time. M'GANN WANTED TO teleport away from this man. As far away as possible and as quickly while she was at it.

She recoiled from his mind, disgusted from having to swim through the pitch-black sludge that were his thoughts.

This wasn't a man.

This was a monster.

"How could you?" She demanded softly, sounding only a fraction of her horror. "How could you do that?"

Her power faltered.

He did not.

The man dropped and rolled across the roof, darting down into the alley and then into darkness.

M'gann followed quickly, only to realize she was too late.

He was gone.

And something told her he wouldn't be coming back alone...
