JIM WANTED ONE thing right now: his girlfriend to tell him what the fuck she was planning.
Because honestly.
It was obvious (though maybe only to him) she was hiding something.
Seriously, did they all think he was an idiot?
Jim smiled at his girlfriend anyway, because, honestly, she was awesome (it probably helped that she had been holding his hand in an iron grip and Claire isn't exactly touchy-feely)-- even if she was hiding something (though based on how she was using her grip to keep him smooshed against her while her guarded stare surveyed their surroundings for threats.
"Claire..."
"Hm."
"Not that I mind... but... you're drawing attention from the others..." Jim told her amusedly.
Claire snapped out of it, going bright red. "Sorry." She muttered halfheartedly.
"Claire, what's up? You know you can talk to me about anything, right?" Jim queries, concerned.
She pauses, pursing his lips. "Not here. Too many ears." She murmurs to him.
Jim's eyebrows rose, surprised and slightly concerned. "Is... everything okay?"
She blinked in surprise. "Huh? No, no-- I mean, you're not going to like it, but everything's good."
Jim frowned. "...What does that mean?"
Claire pursed her lips again. "I just don't want to risk anything, okay? This is unbelievably risky, it's bad enough we're talking about it in publi..." Claire paused, frowning in tense horror before yanking Jim to the ground. "Get down!"
SNAP.
