Chapter 50

Epilogue
One Month Later

"Why do people do this? It makes no sense." Draco frowned down at the water.

"It's meant to be relaxing, doesn't have to make sense." I rolled my eyes at him.

"I don't think he knows the meaning of the word relaxing." Lucifer chuckled next to me.

Draco frowned at him. "I have experienced relaxing many times."

"I'm sure you have." I patted him on the shoulder.

"Mom look!" Xavier ran over holding a small bass fish. It flopped in his hand, causing him to lose his grip and drop it. He frowned down at it. He let his hand hover above it and like a vaccum cleaner the fish flew back up against his palm. Ever since the fight with my parents Thanatos has decided to teach him how to use his powers, much to Lucifer's dismay. He was against the whole idea of Xavier having powers.

"Wow! You caught this all by yourself?" I grinned down at him. Everyone ducked as Draco swung his fishing pole back. The guy was a danger to everyone. Why did we bring him along again? this was meant to be a family trip.

"Watch where you're swinging that thing." Lucifer grumbled.

I giggled. "That's what he said." He grinned at me.

"Auntie jasmine helped me." I looked over at her. She was currently in a wrestling match against Thanatos trying to get the fishing pole from him. After our talk I've come to trust her, she became the sister I never had. We had a lot of sister bonding to catch up on, decades missed.

"Maybe you could help Draco out?"

"I don't need help."

"Oh, you definitely need help." Lucifer shook his head at him.

Xavier rushed over to Draco. "Ahh I see, the problem is the worm you're using." He bent down digging through his bucket of worms. "You want to get a fat- "

A squeal left my mouth as I was picked up and tossed over a shoulder. "Put me down!" I laughed smacking his back.

"Make me." He smacked my butt, making my face turn red.

"You know I can." I threatened him.

"Oh look, here comes your pet." I strained to look around his body in the position I was in. Several feet away a large St. Bernard came barreling through people as they lounged on the ground. What they didn't know though was Cerebus was no ordinary dog. If they were smart, they would've jumped out of his way. After Xavier met Cerebus he insisted we kept him as a pet. That's when we discovered one of his powers involved altering someone or somethings appearance. And that was how Cerebus became a St. Bernard. At first, he couldn't hold the form well, now its easy for him to switch back.

"Put me down!" I yelled again. Cerebus never liked seeing me get man handled, no matter who was doing it. I didn't want him to shift back into the three headed dog in front of all these people.

"Since you asked so nicely." I was placed gently down on the grass. Lucifer hovered above me, a huge smirk on his face. "Do you think they'd lock us up if I were to make love to you right now?" my face heated up.

"Yes, and I'm sure you'd scar Xavier and Draco for life." I sat up pushing him off me.

"Bummer."

I looked down at him as he sat on the grass pouting. "How about you try catching a fish? This was your idea in the first place."

"I can easily catch a fish, it wouldn't be a challenge for me." He rolled his eyes getting up.

"Prove it." I challenged him.

He walked back over to our spot, picking up his pole. "Watch and learn grasshopper." He cast his line out waiting patiently for a bite.

Three minutes later...

"There's obviously no fish in this lake." He turned around facing me.

I placed a hand on my hip. "Oh really? Cause Xavier just caught another one." I nodded my head in the direction of Xavier, who was pulling a fish off his hook.

"He must've taken the last one." He shrugged.

I laughed. "Yeah that's what happened."

"Keep it up and I'll throw you in there to prove there's no more." He raised an eyebrow at me.

"I'd like to see you tr- "fast as lightening he picked me up, tossing me into the lake. I sputtered as I came up for air. "I'm going to kill you!" I raged. I swam over to the edge of the lake attempting to climb out, only to slip on the mud. Cerebus came over and licked my face as I struggled to get out. "Ugh!" On my third attempt I finally got out, facing a laughing Lucifer. "You think this is funny?"

"It's hilarious." He doubled over laughing. My hair stuck to my forehead from the water as I shivered. Suddenly the skies started darkening and large black clouds formed over our heads. "Relax babe I was joking." He looked up worriedly at the clouds.

I frowned. "That's not me." The cloud started to spin abnormally fast. I raced over to Xavier holding him close to me.

"Mom what is that?" He stared up at the clouds like everyone else.

"I don't know." Lucifer came and stood next to me and Draco pulled out his blade.

"Whatever it is, I don't think its friendly." He commented.

Something shot out the sky landing in the dirt. A figure stood up approaching us slowly. I looked around to see if anyone else noticed, but everyone was frozen besides us. Thanatos and Jasmine rushed over.

"Who is that?" Jasmine asked.

Lucifer sucked in a breath. "It's Michael."

The figure, that I now saw was a man. Stood two feet away from us. Large white wings expanded behind him. The span of them put mine to shame. He was dressed in nothing but a white sheet. He opened his mouth and a voice full of power rang out loud and clear. "I've come for the boy."
