TOM JONES
I knew taken her there means telling her who I am. Maybe it was the conviction that I am in love with her that kept coming daily or the love that kept growing that made me took her to that place I called my solace. Whatever it was, I am glad I did.
"T-Tom, w-what a-are w-wee dd-oing in a r-race r-ring?" She asked as she looked around the ring. Her eyes were not judging me but they showed genuine curiosity. I pat the seat next to me and she sat beside me having her eyes on me.
"My parent met each other at a party, I was a result of a one night stand. My dad is against the notion of abortion or not taking his responsibilities so he married my mom," Mary tried to stop me when she saw the pains in my eyes but I smiled at her. She held my hands in hers as I continued.
"My mom hated the idea of being tied down to a family at a young age of eighteen so she left a few days after given birth to me leaving only a letter. She said she wasn't ready for a family and I am not worth giving up her world since then, it had been my dad and me against the world," I said as I looked up at her.
"Why are you crying?" I asked her as I clean the tears in her eyes.
"I-It j-just th-a-at its-sad," she said making me smiled at her. She tightened her hands in mine as we let the calmness and quietness washed away the pains.
"I- I w-was thr-ree y-years o-old-d w-when m-y p-par-rent n-not-ticed t-hat I c-couldn't w-walk w-without fa-alling o-on m-my f-face. M-most ti-ime I g-go l-left w-when I w-wanted to g-go r-right...,"
"Mary, I didn't tell you my story so that you can tell me yours. Tell me when you are comfortable with sharing it with me," I said stopping her from talking.
"I-I want to, i-it hi-gh t-time I t-talk t-to s-someone," she said and I nodded at her.
"I-I was t-taken t-to a d-doctor a-and he t-told t-them it w-would s-stop as t-time g-goes o-on. Yes, i-t d-did sto-p u-unti t-thr-ee y-years a-ago f-few d-days t-to m-my birthday w-when i-it s-started" she stifled a sob and tightened her hold on me.
"I-it started w-with t-the s-small fall, t-he shaky hands, I-I started f-finding i-it d-difficult t-to b-brush m-my teeth, c-comb my hair or r-run a-around t-the h-house. Thousands o-of t-trip t-to t-the h-hospitals, the-erapy, and m-many b-bruises fr-rom f-falls" tears were now flowing freely out of her eyes and she didn't bother to hide them.
"M-my fr-riend l-left m-me c-calling m-me a f-freak, even C-Charlie m-my b-best f-friend o-of s-seven y-years T-Tom. S-seven g-good y-years m-means n-nothing to her" she hiccupped. I never knew I could hate Charlie more than I did.
"O-only R-Rose a-and m-my p-parent st-tayed w-with m-me till t-today I st-till wond-der w-why R-Rose had stay w-with m-me" sobbing profusely, I hugged her to calm her down and we stayed like that till her mom called to ask her where she was.
Wow, they shared their secrets with each other.
That's heartbreaking to those who were going through those situations I described, I know I can never do justice to your feelings. All the same, I want you to know that you are strong for not giving up.
Lots of kisses💋💋💋💋😂😢😂😂💟.
