35: Inside

As soon as Steve steps through the portal, he was hit with a huge heat wave. It went away quickly though. He blinks, looking at what's fromt of him. It was an entrance into a huge castle with dark red bricks. His jaws drop with awe.

"Welcome, welcome!" Someone greeted Steve. It was a person but at the same time not a person. Steve frowns. The guy have dark brown hair and deep black eyes. The thing is that half of his face is a black skull. He's wearing a dark suit with a gray tie. "Ah! L-L-Lord Herobrine." He stuttered, the skeletal teeth chattering.

"William." Herobrine said to the half skeleton. "Nice to see you." William nodded in response, inclining his head.

The group entered through the entrance. The music grew louder as they step closer. Steve can see that everyone here is human. Correction, human like. They were all mobs, walking around and chitchatting.

"Shh, Herobrine has arrived." Someone called. Everyone turned to face the group. They fell into awkward silence that not even Herobrine knows how to get out of.

"Um..." Herobrine started. "... Hello?"

Sophia whacks him on the head. "Say some proper words." She whispered harshly.

"What am I suppose to say!?"

Someone gasped. "Is that.. who I think it is next to the Lord?"

Herobrine puts a hand on Steve's waist, pulling him close. "This is Stevie, a witch from a faraway land." Steve swallowed hard, putting his hand up to wave. He hopes the disguisss pays off well.

"Ah I see. She must be one of the powerful witches."

"No way.. she can't be one of the great witches!"

"No wonder why Ruler chose her."

Herobrine laughs. "Yes, Stevie's one of the witches that match me in power."

"Herobrine!" Steve hisses. "What are you doing?!"

"Did you know Stevie almost destoryed half of the world~" Delilah joined in with a wide grin on her face.

"Delilah not you too!"

The crowd seems to be fanastized by what 'Stevie' had done. "A powerful yet beautiful witch." Someone commented. "Perfect for the Ruler."

Before long, some people swarm over to Steve, breaking him apart from the others. "H-hey!" He shouted as he was being pushed away.

"Have fun Stevie!" Naomi called after him. "I'm going to look for friends."

Steve can see Herobrine waving to him from a distance. Seriously?!

"Stevie! Let's sit down and chat." Someone said. The girl have long yellow hair with orange tips along with orange eyes. She has on a dark crop top and a frilly yellow skirt with yellow boots. She grabs Steve's arm and pulled him away from the others into a room.

The room is what seems to be a bar. It doesn't seem like there's a lot of mobs here. "Sorry for just pulling you around over there," She said. "My name is Spark."

"U-uh.. hi Spark." Steve said. At least there's no crowd here.

"Bartender!" Spark called. The bartender looks like William but more on the skeleton side. "Pass us some alcohol please. Two cups."

"How exactly did you meet Herobrine?" Spark asked.

"Oh.. I remember.. it was... some time ago." Steve begins to try and think of a backstory that sounds real. "Well... I was taking a nice scroll outside and then Herobrine suddenly appeared out of no where." He said. "And then.. that sorta... got us to here.." Steve looks at Spark, sweating a bit. Spark was looking rather intrigued by his story.

The bartender sets down two cups for the two. Steve stared at his cup. Spark takes hers, nodding at him to go on. "Uh... I don't really.."

"Come on, just one cup!" She urged.

Steve blew a sigh, taking the cup and putting it to his lips.

"You don't have to pay for it by the way. Ruler's wife doesn't have to pay."

Steve almost spit out the alcohol when he heard that. Ruler's wife?! Spark downed her whole cup in a single sitting. It prompted Steve to finish his cup too just to show Spark that he's no light weight.

Spark called in for more. Before he knew it, he gotten himself into a drinking contest. How? He has no idea but he couldn't leave even if he wanted to.

Herobrine what have you got me into?!

Herobrine frowns as he watched Steve gets carried away in the crowd. "Delilah, I need you to check in on Steve." He said. "The rest of you can go."

"Me? For what?" Delilah asked.

"I overthrown the last Ruler." Herobrine said lowly. "There are some people that holds grudges from it. Yes I can take them on but Steve can't."

Herobrine hands Delilah a bow and quiver. Delilah just stares at it, blinking. "Me and Sophia have to go check in with the Bosses."

"Bosses?" Delilah scowls.

"The Ender Dragon and the Wither." Sophia explained. "Those two might have something to say about this and we don't want to upset them."

"Just leave it up to me!" Delilah said as she tried to pull back thw bowstring. She watch as Sophia opens up another portal and the two disappears. "I didn't know there are some people out there that not even Herobrine wants to upset." Delilah muttered.
