43: A Date

"Wh-what do I do?" Delilah cried as she kneel on the ground. "I lost him! Herobrine's going to kill me."

"You.. lost Steve?!" Naomi said. Delilah nodded, her lips trembling.

"Gone...?" Zoey mumbled.

Layla tried to comfort Delilah, patting her softly on her back. "Delilah?" The skeleton looks up to see Lena. Before she knows it, a hand slapped her hard across his face.

"Ow.. why did you do that?" Delilah asked, holding on to her red cheek. Lena puts both hands on Delilah's shoulders. "Pull yourself together." Lena barked as she glared at her. "We have to find Steve as soon as possible. Who took him?"

"S-some wither skeletons." Delilah said.

"Where did you last see them?"

"I was fighting with one of them.." Delilah sighs. "I had to retreat.. I didn't know how to use my bow."

"You don't know how to use you bow??"

"No.." Delilah sighs.

"Aren't you a skeleton..?" Naomi asked. "Skeletons are good with bows." She turns to Delilah, scowling. "Right...?"

"I-I mean they are..." Delilah answered, flustered.

"Guys, focus on Steve." Lena reminded them. "Delilah hurry and take us to where this wither skeleton is."

Does everyone think like Lilith? Steve sat there, trying to imagine what the others thought of him. No.. they.. they're different.. The mobs were always friendly around him.

How about Herobrine then?

It was true he was a jerk. But did he really do those horrible things? Steve barely remembers the incident. There was fire everywhere with everyone in panic. He was barely a child when it all happened.

"Do you.. like Herobrine..?" Lilith asked. She watched Steve closely.

"H-huh?"

"Do you like him?" Lilith asked again.

"Yeah..." Steve responded, carefully.

Lilith narrowed her eyes as she moved closer to Steve. "Do you really like him?"

"Uh..."

"Did.. did you guys... do it..?"

Steve's face turns red. "H-huh? Wa-wait why are you asking me this..?"

"I just wanted to know..." She leans closse to Steve's face. "... Please go out with me."

Steve tried to find something sensible. "I'm sorry, Lilith... but I-" There is another glare tossed in his way. "-would like to try it out."

Lilith smiled widely as she grabs Steve's arms and pulled him along. "I'm better than Herobrine. just wait and see."

How am I going to get out of this?

Lai steps onto the Nether grounds, scowling. "Now where is that wife..?" She inhales deeply, trying to pick up a scent. It took some time but she has found it.

It was faint but enough for her to tail. "There you are~"
