44: Tower

Herobrine scowls. "Can't believe Lai went ahead of us." He complained. "As soon as the portal came she just flew inside."

Sophia blew a sigh. "Right now we just need to gather everyone." She looks around, trying to find Steve or any of the mobs. "Wonder where they are..."

Herobrine scans the area, frowning. "I don't see Lai around either.."

"H-Hero... brine..." The two turn to see Layla behind them, biting her lips. "St.. Steve.. Delilah said.... disappeared."

"Steve disappeared?" Sophia repeated, her voice rising. "What do you mean?"

"D-Delilah said some.. wither skeletons.. took him.."

"Wither skeletons.. No... Herobrine-!" Sophia looks at Herobrine alarmingly but he was already gone.

Steve finds himself walking alongside with Lilith, holding hands.

"Wh-where are we going?" Steve asked. He looked around, trying to see if he could spot Herobrine, Sophia or the mobs anywhere. It seems like she was taking him somewhere secluded.

Should I just bolt? He wondered. Lilith's grip tightens and Steve could feel her staring at him. D-did she hear me?!

"We're going to the best place in the Nether." Lilith replied gleefully.

There's a best place in the Nether??

It took quite a while until Lilith stops and turned to Steve. grinning. "We're here, Stevie!"

Steve takes a look around, blinking. It looked like every part of the Nether. In fact, there was nothing at all. "Here...?"

Lilith clap her hands and the ground below them shook. Steve's jaws drop as a huge tower made entirely out of netherbricks appeared in front of him out of the ground. It was so tall that he couldn't see the top of it.

"Let's go," Lilith pulled Steve into the tower. There's a staircase, spiraling to the top and the whole place is dimly lit by torches. One look to the top and Steve could tell he's going to be here for a long time.
