49: Announcement

Steve scowled as Herobrine was doubling over, laughing loudly.

"That's hilarious!" He yelled, tears in his eyes. "Lilith.. she took you out on a date!"

Ugh... I shouldn't have told him anything.. "It wasn't funny, she was scary..."

"Well they didn't figure you weren't a girl after all that." Herobrine said, nudging Steve. "That form suits you, you know?"

"W-well.. Lai.. she found out that I was human..."

Steve can see Herobrine freeze. "What?"

"She knows.." Steve said. "I'm not sure how.."

"Your scent.." Herobrine said, horror setting in on his face. "It was on me.." He remembers when Lai was pulling him in, making some sort of a face. "She.. she is going to tell everyone.."

"What happens if the other mobs find out?" Steve asked, worried.

Herobrine didn't answer at first, looking off in the distance.

"Herobrine...?"

"They won't accept it." Herobrine muttered. "They won't.."

"Sophia and the others did though.." Steve exclaimed. "They can be the same as them."

Herobrine shake his head. "No... They are different. They aren't the same as the ones at the Ball." Herobrine sighs. "They been around much longer."

'No mob would like a human' Lilith's words echoed in Steve's mind. He remembers the digusted look on her face when he asked if she liked humans.

Herobrine.. he hated us before.. Steve looks down at the ground.

"It's okay.." Steve blinks, looking up towards Herobrine. "We can handle this." He smirks at Steve.

"I got a plan."

The mobs were whispering along themselves anxiously.

"Isn't that the Dragon..?"

"Scary..."

"... what is she doing here?"

"Do you think she's going to fight with Herobrine..?"

Lai tried her hardest not to glare at those that was talking about her behind her back. She puts on a wide smile. "I have a very important annoucement regarding the Ruler here."

"Layla.. look.." Naomi said, pointing up to where Lai is. "Isn't that who the Ender are connected tl..?"

Layla's eyes widen as she saw Lai. "No.. no way.." She breathed. "I'm seeing her!"

Sophia was among the crowd, frowning as she listens carefully.

"The Ruler has a 'wife'.." Lai said, making quote marke. "But where have he found her? Where did she come from exactly?"

"What are you trying to get out?" Someone in the crowd shouted.

Lai puts a finger to her lips. "Let me finish here." She said, smirking as she landed on the ground in the middle of the crowd. "What are your thoughts on those... humans?"

There was a moment of silence as the mobs look at each other in confusion.

"Why are we talking about those useless beings?!"

"G-guys.. do you think she know..?" Delilah whispered to the others, biting her lips. "If Lai tells everyone here..."

"We have to stop her!" Lena exclaimed.

"H-huh?!" Layla looks at Lai and then at her friends with wide eyes. There's no way we can beat her..

"We can at least distract her." Lena said. "With Sophia we can-"

"She... gone.." Zoey grumbled.

"Yeah.." Naomi looks around them. "She.. she was just here, where did she go?"

"Huh?!"

"I'm glad we all agreed on things." Lai said before frowning. "I thought.. things have changed and we liked humans.."

"Just because the Ruler, Herobrine.. that wife of his... she-"

"What about me?"

Lai turns to see Steve behind her. The two stared at each other down, shooting death glares.
