"What?" Aura said, stunned.

"We're coming with you," Enya backed him up, stepping forward, closely followed by Laec.

"You think we'll let you go after him alone?" Ash took her hand in his own and looked into her eyes. She smiled at him as she said,

"You're sure about this? You could be killed!"

"That doesn't even come into it. We're going with you." Enya said, firmly.

"But you need to figure out a power then," Laec pondered.

"What?" Enya was puzzled. Power? Wasn't witchcraft illegal?

"We all have magical blood," Ash explained, "I can fly and produce ice, Aura can fly too and has healing powers as you found out," he grinned, "but Laec reckons that you have power over heat and the sun."

"What?"

"Well," Laec recalled the memories from when Enya was dead, "when you, you died before, the  sun almost went out. We couldn't see anything but the moon, and it got cold. Really cold."

Enya stared at her hands, stunned.

"But, how do I do it?"

"Just concentrate on what you want to happen. Close your eyes, and -"

Suddenly a flame shot from Enya's fingertips and accidentally set some grass on fire. Ash put it out immediately with his ice, smiling.

"Woah," Laec said, "none of us could do it that fast! Do it again!"

She closed her eyes, and conjured a flame between her fingertips, holding the spark in her palm. Enya laughed in astonishment and tried to throw it. She shot a fireball at the ground that was put out by Ash again.

"Enya - wow," Laec breathed. She truly was stunning, he thought.

She kept practising, and eventually she had completely mastered her talent. Soon she couldn't just shoot fire, she could also fly on the wind. With Aura controlling the wind that came as a huge advantage.

But Laec found he was a little left out. With everyone else being able to control all the elements, he figured he just hadn't tried hard enough. He closed his eyes and concentrated, hard. He felt a rushing sensation inside of him, reaching to his toes and shooting up his spine. He controlled it so it shot into the ground and he felt the earth crack beneath his feet. He had caused an earthquake!

"How the -?" Enya cried as she clung onto Laec for dear life. "Did you -?"

"I guess I wasn't concentrating enough earlier," Laec smiled.

"Wait one second," Ash queried, a puzzled expression on his face, "you're the kingdom of Water, right? And I'm the kingdom of Earth. This makes no sense."

"Maybe long ago, our families crossed paths and we got different powers," Laec suggested. "I don't know, but either way, I'm wearing the wrong uniform."

He glanced down at his sea blue military outfit and grinned.

"Let's get back your parents," Enya smiled.

"Toothless!"

The night fury flew overhead and over to Laec, who saddled up.

"Who's he?" Enya said, curious about the new guest.

"Oh yeah, you were dead," Ash smiled. "Laec ran into a dragon and managed to tame it. A night fury, by chance too."

"Wow," Enya whispered under her breath, reaching out to pat him. Toothless took an instant liking to her and rubbed his head against her palm.

"He's never been so friendly with anyone before!" Aura said wonderingly.

"Must be magic," Enya grinned as the flew away on the wind, four figures becoming mere silhouettes against the moon, blotting out the stars.

A/N I wrote this whole chapter whilst listening to the soundtrack from How to Train Your Dragon 2 :) I swear I'm so obsessed it's illegal! I hope you guys enjoyed it, I thought about the plot line for this for a while now, and I'm so happy I can update it. Be patient for the next chapters though, they're going to need a lot of planning!!
