Chapter 16: Putting The Pieces Back Togther

Alex's P.O.V.

        When morning came I was woken by small kisses being trailed down the side of my face. Smiling, I  let my eyes flutter open. I was met by the most beautiful sight I could imagine. Severus lay there, wrapped around me, with a small smile on his lips. "Good morning, love." He said in a groggy voice that sent shivers down my spine.

        "Good morning handsome." He let out a small chuckle and rolled over on his back, pulling me on top of his chest and holding me close.

        "How did you sleep?" I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled down at him.

        "Best sleep I've had in a very- very- very- long time." I replied kissing him on the lips between verys.

        "Yeah? And why's that baby?"  

        "Because you were holding me and I knew everything was okay." Severus caressed my cheek softly and looked into my eyes.

        "Have I ever told you how beautiful you are, my dear?" A deep blush spread across my cheeks and I hid my face in his chest. "What is it?" He chuckled. "What?" He pressed, but this time tickling my sides. I let out a yelp and then a loud laugh as he flipped us over and continued tickling my sides and stomach. "Tell me." By this time I was gasping for air between laughs.

        "Sev- st-stop! Please! I s-sur-surrender!" But he didn't stop which made me nearly hyperventilate between laughs.

        "But you haven't told me why you blushed so hard and hid your face. Tell me and I'll stop. Tell me."

        "S-Sev!! E-Enough! C-Can't t-take it!"

        "Tell me love." He chuckled.

        "B-Because I'm n-not beautiful!" Finally the tickling ceased and I gasped for air still chuckling. "Merlin Sev you are rel-"

        "What did you just say?" He cut me off looking at me seriously.

        "What?" I asked as I stopped lauging and my smile dropped.

        "Did you just say you weren't beautiful?" He looked at me as if I'd grown two heads.

        "Well.. yeah.. bu-"

        "Why in the bloody hell would you think that?!" I looked down and played with the corner off the sheet avoiding his gaze.

        "I'm just not.. I know that. Its fine."

        "No it isn't fine! Alex you are gorgeous. How could you not know that?"

        "Because I'm not Sev. I appreciate that you think so."

        "I don't understnd how you could think that." He looked at me with questioning eyes and I bit my lip avoiding is piercing gaze as much as best I could. 

        "I... all my life I've only ever heard how horrid I am or hoe repulsive I am... so I just... came to believe it.."

        "Who told you that?" I coud hear him trying to suppress the anger in his voice. I looked up at him and that was all it took. "Knight." He growled and I nodded. "and you would believe and imbasile like that? He abused you Alex and you'd believe a word her said?"

        "I thought he was my Dad, Severus. A four year old will believe anything her 'Daddy' tells her. I came up being told it and I learned it.

        "Well listen to me. You are absolutley gorgeous. Everything about you. Don't ever think you're not." He said giving me a soft kiss. "I love you." I hugged him close.
