Alex's P.O.V.

The next few months passed quickly. Honestly I wished for them back. It was going to fast for me. I wanted to enjoy the short time I had left at Hogwarts. Soon the semester would end and I wasn't ready to only have one more year at Hogwarts. I wasn't ready to have to leave this place. I wasn't ready to leave home. These months went by smoothly. The best I'd had since last year actually.

Slytherin managed to make an outstanding come back in Quidditch. Not enough to win for the year, but still impressive if you ask me. Quidditch was sadly over now. I'd just finished my exams and managed to get my grades out of the gutter with more than enough to pass. I was lucky I guess. I kept my promise to Remus and he got a letter a week. He was more than happy about this and how smoothly things had gone. Everyone had seemed to have a nice break. It was refreshing. I had gained my weight back wich was wonderful because I no longer looked like a skeleton, which I was so grateful for. Things have been rough without Marissa, but Will was always there. We had grown very close. He has been an amazing friend and I love him.

Grandfather and I have spent a large amount of time together and that was unusual for us. I enjoyed it very much though. Every day after school we have tea together. He's taught me a lot about my parents that I never knew. I really wished I had been able to meet them... Just once that I could remember and charish forever. They were amazing people. Grandfather tells me stories about my Dad when he was little and it seems that we had a lot in common. My mother and I as well.

Severus had been... tense. He always seemed on edge. Always looking over his shoulder. He's been distant as well. I didn't know why, but I decided it best to give him his space. I tried talking, but it never worked so I thought he'd tell me when he was ready. I hoped at least... I didn't want to push him, but I wanted to be there for him.

Currently, I was on my way to Grandfather's office to have a daily tea. When I got there I said the password and walked in as usual. Grandfather was standing by the window. "Hello Grandfather." He turned around and wore a warm smile.

"Hello dear, how are you today?"

"I'm well and you?" I said as I took my spot on his sofa.

"That's wonderful to hear. Alex, I am sorry dear, but I must cancel our tea for today. I have somewhere I need to be." I frowned a bit because I really did enjoy our time.

"I understand. Another time." I stood up and grandfather stayed quiet for a while.

"Alex, what are you doing tonight?"

"Well I planned on turning in early and just hanging out in my room, Maybe finish up some packing, why?"

"I was only guilty of being curious I'm afraid. That sounds like a good idea to me."

"Alright. Well, I suppose I"ll be off now."

"Alexandra... Wait." Grandfather walked over to me and puled me into a hug "I love you dear." I smiled and hugged him back.

"I love you too, Grandfather." He held me for several moments before finally letting go.

"And remember you are a very smart, strong, and brave girl. I'm more than certain you can handle anything thrown at you. I'm so very proud of you Alex. You will do great things. Also, I've never seen two people more perfect for one another like yourself and Severus. Hold onto that love. Don't let it go. Trust it. Trust him."

"I do trust him. With my life. Where is all of this coming from?" He gave me a small smile and patted my shoulder.

"Everyone could use a reminder of how great they are every once in a while."
