Ethan was taken to the front of a class, he always seemed to find himself in (Detention) Others were given lines, he got a canning (Couldn't sit for a week) Most thought that was just barbaric. No one should have to endured that. But, that wasn't the worse.
Some of his beloved notes were found.....At a class prayer session, Sister Bridget burned them. Ethan was made to stand at the front of the class and watch while she did it (The class was then asked to pray for him)
"Your soul belongs to the lord. You, boy! Took it a upon your self to write down strange ramblings, I believe the devil was speaking to you!.." Sister Bridget turned to the class, raised her right hand, made a fist.
"Don't let the devil in, children. It starts how it did for your fellow student friend, Ethan. Then, you will be lead to the pits of hell! Stop it in it's tracks!..." Sister Bridget gripped a front desk, grasped a minute....Then, stared all her students (Within the room) out.
Ethan gave her a stony stare, he was glad she was facing the class. Cade put a bible in front of his mouth, quietly laughed. Brex thought Ethan looked just gorgeous (Standing by the teacher's desk) If Ethan had the devil within him, would he have sex with her (She'd always wanted to be seduced by an evil boy!)
Ethan picked up a note, it wasn't the original he'd first written. That one was found (Photo-copied) And, one copy was sent to his mother and another to his father. Sister Bridget filed the original one in a folder. When Ethan went to visit his mother next, his step-dad locked him in a room, rang the school and requested his room to be searched.
His notebook was never found, but the notes on his desk were sent to both his parents. His step-dad whipped him in the name of the lord. His father ask him to speak to a man his step-mother recommended.
Ethan remembered that conversation well.
That "conversation" lead Ethan to his brilliant new career.
The man in the black-suit enjoyed hearing what Ethan had to say. Ethan felt he had nothing to lose, he had been beaten....And, had been threatened with permanent mild sedation.
In way, Ethan had been offered a "necklace" to control his wicked ways!
The man in the black-suit struck a deal. Behave, stop the notes, do well in school, head down....Sit a test.
"....Then, you - Young man will kill for the government. It will be legal, you will have free range to do as you please.."
Ethan nodded at the time. What could possibly go wrong!

He continued with his notes, he couldn't help it. The strange girl had liked them so much, plus they were apart of him in a way. He buried his note book somewhere real safe, he wrote small notes....Some he burned, some he tore up and threw them to the wind. He would close his eyes.
"For you, Trinity. Always for you!.."
Ethan did study, he hung with Cade.....Told Brex countless times, they were never going out. He tried to meet other girls, but....Things never lasted long. Between his parents, Sister Bridget....And Brex scaring them off, Ethan lead a mildly crazy school life - You'd have to see it, to believe it!
