Ethan slowly sat up, sleep wouldn't come to him. The coven were going to be "annoyed" - And that was putting politely! My parents weren't going to be any better. He suddenly had that odd feeling of being back at school, Ethan couldn't recall the memories of the place too well (But the "dread" feelings weren't failing him) Smells, and feelings often helped where recollections failed him. And, an odd sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.
He blamed his gut there.
He could hear small banging sounds, hands pushing. Child-like groans of exertion, they were trying so hard (He sensed two, maybe more of them) He could feel intense fear - One of them was fearful. But, there was anger too? What was that about? Ethan looked around his room a minute, back to the door - Should he offer to open it (He could. It was locked. But he could open it) Ethan suddenly stared back at the door - They wouldn't know that! That it was locked, he could hear two pushing so hard.
It made him grin, they sounded like they using a lot of effort. Ethan gave the wooden door a hard stare, his visitors were "small" (He could tell) He'd briefly seen them, they looked no bigger than toddlers. Ethan stood, took a few steps towards the door - He reached his hand out as much as he could (As the chains would allow. "They" offered movement. But, they quickly restricted too!) The ones on the other side of his door, were "children" (He was sure of that) Because of their ill treatment, they hadn't grown.
They were babies, no bigger than toddlers. But. Since coming to the mansion - All and everything about them would be swiftly corrected (It was already happening) Their small forms would change, they would thrive - Became bigger, stronger.
(Not really known to me - Angel, Others and fairy children don't stay too small for long. They remain "innocent" for a time. But, they grow!)
For the now at least, they were no taller than mid-thigh for most of us. Manageable, as Clark would say. Ethan waved his fingers at the lock, he heard "clicking" sounds (He screwed up his face. The last metallic sound like that, got him "locked" with chains!) He took a step or two back, fell over....The wooden door creaked open. Six small eyes stared at him round and wide.
Leader took the first step into the room, hands wide and ready. He tensed himself, stared at the large pile of a body. Legs long, arms tangled, hands trying to sit the frame of the body up. Black shining eyes looking right at him. He stood tall suddenly, hands closed into fists. Reef held Pixie, her legs had turned to jelly (And, she felt light headed) The angry boy was by far a lot bigger from the ground up!
Reef inched himself and Pixie a little closer into the room, kept themselves just behind Leader. Reef stared hard at the body before them (It appeared to be sitting, rattling it's chains a little - It leaned toward them. Reef saw Leader's hands fly up ready to hit)
Funny. Maybe odd. The tall body backed away, moved lower to the floor....It? He? Was scared? Reef suddenly felt that wasn't right, grabbed Leader's arm. Pixie tumbled to the floor - Let out a small cry, put her hands over her eyes (Cried really loud) The large body was panicking now - A sudden racket of metal, scraping, knees, arms, hands. All happening too quickly, Leader and Reef weren't sure to what they should do next.
Shield Pixie, stand their ground (Take the large body on)....Or cry too! Fern was at the door, in the room - She bent to the ground (Scooped Pixie up, held her tight) Reef was picked up by Bell, Leader had the back of his onesies pj's grabbed. Geer stared down at Ethan, grinned....."Catching up with the kid-lets! Nice. But, no. Not now. Best we put you somewhere safe, out of harms way. A locked room. Dark, quiet....Safe!.." Geer bent down, grabbed the chain between Etha's wrists, pulled/moved him against a wall.
