"Is the job done? Any lose ends?..." A crackling voice laughed...."Need I even ask! I'm in the presence of the "Blue-Killer!". A lose end, is never left there! Man, your too good for that!.." Jack grinned at Ethan, leaned back in his chair (Kept laughing) took a small swing of his beer, swallowed (Wiped his mouth with the back of his hand)

"The job was just toooo easy. Shooting fish in a barrel. Mac needs to challenge me! Let me back out in the open..." Ethan paused a minute, looked at his friend Jack. "I "like" people. Their reasonable most of the time. They never "mean" to cause the fucking shit they do....Agreed, Jack?.." Ethan then picked up his beer, held it up.

"Cheers, poison-on-legs! Mac will let you back into the general arena. Your just killing all the "bad" people too quick. Ya gotta leave some for me! I like doing some hard work. Keeps me fit, knuckle-head!.." Jack grinned back at Ethan. He really did admire the guy.

He had never met anyone like Ethan before. He didn't look like your usual soldier of death. He was humorous, cheeky....He only talked about the "kills" to share tips. They all had mixed views on the job, some were very good at what they did....Others got lost in the duty of the job.

Ethan told him once, to have certain people alive (Walking the earth) would end the human race. "Best put them, where they can stop harming others. Don't think past that. The "what/why/where....How?" Leave it! Just leave it right there, Jack..."

Jack kept that motto.

"Benton. I don't like them. Do you hear me? Stop grinning at me. I am angry, I am biting my tongue. If I bite it any harder....I will bit it off! Benton - Do you want to see me without a tongue?!.." Clark stared right at him. Benton shook his head, gave her his best frown (No, he certainly did not want to see her without a tongue) Clark glared at Benton, told Bell her apron for was inside out....Asked Geer to comb his hair again.

Clark then cast her eyes to EB kneeling on the floor eating. She was in her natural state. To be truthful, what was her "natural state"? Clark liked to see her neatly dressed, hair styled....Sitting at the table, sipping a cup of tea. But. She secretly liked the "creature" side to her too. Clark had found, if she dipped a small piece of fruit in honey, placed it in the palm of her hand.....EB would have "sniffed" it out - would be standing right in front of her (Nibble small fingers would hold her hand, a forked tongue would take it!)

EB was to be many surprises.

Whatever Briar had been in life, whatever was held within her, her magic - The taking of Exie's body (Had created EB) There were things we knew, some we didn't (But quickly discovered) The Old knew everything, because they just did. Stella still saw her as her "flower", her friend (The love of her life)

Clark would sort EB out in a moment. She turned her attention to Ethan. He was to be "assessed". I had given my word on the matter, but Jefferson had kindly (And, formally) asked if he could still check Ethan. Clark glided to the table, he was so well behaved.....She kept watching him. He had gotten out of bed when asked, he had walked to the wash-rooms - He had stripped for her.

(She hadn't even had to ask him to get within the tub) Clark had felt his head, she felt no heat....His eyes were focused. I had wanted to assist, I was firmly told "Never. A Supreme doesn't take part in house-hold domestic duties!.." I shared my thoughts on that. They can't be printed.
