Hector sat with EB.....He liked the mansion, he wanted to stay. Figures of mist, spoke to him (Gave him treats) There was an air of acceptance, Hector wanted to hang on to that. He'd only been within the mansion walls a short time, and already he had a girl he very much wanted to be "around".

EB gave his arm a small nudge with her elbow.

"It's good here. The ghosty people are nice, I'm Clark's favourite. Ethan likes her a lot. Benton's cool, in a young-old man kind of way..." They both watched the happenings of the kitchen a minute.

"I have Stella. Just love her. Trinity is amazing. Life here is not too bad....But, I do have to keep myself in check. Being human is difficult.." EB crinkled her nose. "It feels odd. But, I try.." Hector flopped his hands into his lap, looked at EB. She had a security, he could only dream about (He wasn't even sure what "security" meant. But, it had a safeness to it) Hector wanted to feel safe.

"Our thing with Ethan. I'm before you. Your after me. We both listen to him, do what he says. But, I'm lower than him. But more in charge than you..." EB gave Hector a stern look, then quickly grinned. Hector nodded, he only half got it. He bowed his head.  He was feeling a lot better, different.

He was trying really hard to "understand".   But, his mind was doing that flash thing.   Animals think in moments, present/in this second.    They hold past things, memories.   Hector hadn't been afforded that ability, but the mansion wanted him to be "aware".

"...I heard, you need owners. To belong.     There's buyers.   They've seen you.    I think, your better with us..."      EB was glancing at Hector, she then bit her lip (She really shouldn't have said that to Hector)     But. Maybe.....We can buy you back.     I'm new to all of this human-shit....I...I...."     EB looked right at Hector, he suddenly had a different look that wasn't too happy.

She wasn't going to say a word, but he needed a heads up.    EB bit down hard on her lower lip.   If the ground could just swallow her right up - That would be a grand idea!       Hector pulled his legs up to his chest, he suddenly felt sick.    The facility often talked about "selling" their stock (As they were always referred to)     Hector could still feel the hash, or jubilant words ringing through his ears.

He would receive some last and finally treatment, be given his "Finishing" training, then he would be auctioned off to the highest bidder.     The doctors often laughed, he might be treated well. Or not.     Whoever bought him might like him as was.....Or.....Cut him up even further than the facility had!

Hector looked at EB, he didn't want to be sold.   He wanted to be at the mansion (Around for the winged one. The master)        He wanted to be with the girls with bright glass on their backs.     EB wanted to wipe the sad terrified look from Hector's face (She had sooo said the wrong thing to her new best friend. The only other, other than Ethan and Stella  - That understood what she truly was)

She reached a hand out to him, Hector flinched back.      He was suddenly filled with the horrors of what might happen to him next.     EB chewed her lower lip, oh this was turning pear-shaped fast.        She grabbed his arm, didn't mean to grip too hard (Hector moaned at the tightness of her hold)       He gave her look that stabbed her chest on the spot.

Hector's eyes were so big and round....They weren't his soft warm brown colour, they were now haunted and terrified. His arm had gone limp, his hand dangled in the air. EB started to mildly panic. Ethan had been damaged and dangerous (She could handle that, she tuned into his darkness) Hector was damaged, but badly wired back together.
