He came out and roaming on the empty roads. As he came home back, he was informed about his friend arrival. Manan, a photographer, came to meet him.
Khizer was wearing a white shirt and sat with his friend. His face was clearly expressing his anger as well as sadness. His face became blue.
Manan knew that khizer had no authority on his anger; he had no patience to tolerate shirk in love. He did not want to share her love like anyone.
But Manan had no idea why he had been angry? At whom or what?
Being an experienced photographer, He knew that who had the power to create such a wave of anger in him.
Manan guessed that she was a female due to whom he had been so angry. He knew that who was that female, the one and only Eman.
Khizer's face was empty and it wasn't showing any expressions.
Manan failed to decide; Either silence was more than seriousness or maybe seriousness on his face was more than silence.
They both were silent. Manan started the conversation. They talked about the weather for a bit before it was silence again.
But the fact was; khizer didn't want to treat her either badly or in a harsh language.
Eman was that female for whom khizer used the word marriage. He wanted to marry her. He sometimes discussed it with his best friend that he loved her and he'll love Eman his whole life.
While looking outside from the window and sitting with his friend, he wished to divert his mind from her thoughts.
He felt that he was not doing the right thing, leaving her alone in their room, leading to a costly conclusion for him.
Khizer said, "I don't know why, but I feel like tonight is going to be heavy."
After every try, each in vain, he was again thinking about her.
What was she doing? Either she'll be waiting for me or she'll be sleeping or she'll missing me. He thought.
Manan left and He was sitting there on a rocking chair.
"Come here," He said he saw Eman.
He holds her right hand. She smiled, sat in his lap.
Khizer holds her both hands and hugged her tightly like a child and kissed her forehead.
They sat there for a while, enjoying the others company before Khizer went to their room to get some sleep. She had some work in the kitchen.
When she came to her room, the light was switched on. He was sleeping. She sat in her bed. Despite her all day working, she was unable to sleep.
His face was towards hers. she was looking to his face. They were inches away from each other. He looked peaceful as she slept.
Why did all males change after a while? Why were they so untrusted? While looking to his face she thought and it increased her sadness.
"Today will you sleep in the light?" Khizer whispered while turning to another side.
He was surely not in a deep sleep. Eman switched off the light. But she wasn't laying for sleeping.
In the darkness, Khizer again turned towards her," Why are you not sleeping?"
"I'll sleep now," She answered.
Khizer switched on the light. Without saying a word, Eman pulled the blanket on her own body and closed her eyes.
Khizer stared at her face for a few moments and switched off the light. Eman opened her eyes again.
"Eman, you have to wake up early in the morning for prayer," Khizer put his hand gently on his face while turning towards her.
She awed. How he felt her eyes opened in the darkness.
She turned towards him but she saw nothing due to darkness.
Khizer put his hand around her, kissed her forehead, hugged her and wished her, "Good night. "
It was his third try to get her to sleep.
She was quiet for a moment then she said, "Khizer."
Khizer exhaled deeply and opened his eyes.
"What happened to you?" he questioned.
"Nothing." Eman lied.
"Why were you behaving so rude to me? Why did you leave me alone?" She eventually asked.
"I was upset due to my office problems, perhaps that is why," He apologized.
His fingers were spinning in her hair.
Eman asked, "What type of problems?"
Khizer explained, " Yeah, it happens sometimes. You just don't worry, if in future I am acting like that or my mood is not fine then don't ask questions at the moment. I'll be fine at some time."
Eman didn't understand his explanation but she was satisfied.
"I was worried because I thought you mind something," Eman finally claimed his fear.
Khizer whispered, "Not at all, Love. I'll forgive even seven murders for you." He teased her and grinned.
This time she also laughed.
Eman took a deep breath, put her hand around him, and closed her eyes.
