*Two days later- April 11th*

I'm sitting in front of the committee, bored to death and ready to go home. "Why haven't we yet heard from Captain Rogers?" Asked the committee General.

"I don't know what's left for him to say. I think the rock in the middle of the Potomac made his point fairly eloquently." I answered.

"Well, he could explain how this country's expected to maintain its national security now that he and you have laid waste to our intelligence apparatus."

"HYDRA was selling you lies, not intelligence."

"Many of which you seem to have had a personal hand in telling." The General stated.

My jaw tensed as Scudder spoke up, "Agent, you should know that there are some on this committee who feel, given your service record, both for this country and against it, that you belong in a penitentiary, not mouthing off on Capitol Hill."

I looked over at him with a slight glare. I was now beyond fed up. We had saved this place and their butts one to many times, and now I'm being judged for my past. "You're not going to put me in a prison. You're not going to put any of us in a prison. Do you know why?" I asked.

"Do enlighten us." Scudder answered.

"Because you need us. Yes, the world is a vulnerable place, and yes, we helped make it that way. Bet we're also the ones best qualified to defend it. So, if you want to arrest me, arrest me. You'll know where to find me." I finished. I stood up and swiftly walked out not hiding my anger and irritation at all. They pissed off the wrong person.

I walked out and met up with Alex, "Are you okay?" she asked.

I sighed, "Nope, but I will be. Let's go."

*Ring*

I pulled my phone out, Steve's name on the caller id. "Hello?"

"Nat, do you still have some connections?" he asked.

"Hi, Steve. Good to hear from you. I'm doing just fine, and I'm glad you feel better now." I replied.

"Sorry, how are you? How was the committee?"

"I'll be fine, and they behaved just like I thought they would. I believe I still have some good connections. What can I do for you?"

"I would like more information on the Winter Soldier. If that is possible; I'm going to try and find him."

"Yea, I'll see what I can do. When do you want it?"

"Well, Fury is ready to go we are meeting up at his grave sit in a couple of hours." He said.

"Alright, I'll meet you there."

"Thanks, Nat."

"You're welcome." I said hanging up.

I turned to Alex handing her the keys to my car, "I need to make some phone calls for Steve. Can you drive us to the library, please and thank you?"

After a few phone calls it only took me an hour to receive the information and put it altogether for Steve. We are now on our way to Fury's grave site.

We just pulled up, "Are you sure you don't want to go up, and at least say goodbye to everyone?" I asked Alex.

"Yea, I guess I will." She answered.

Alex and I got out of the car, and we headed to where the guys were standing. "Alright then. Anybody asks for me, tell them they can find me right here." Fury says to them and walks away.
