Sage's POV
"Fuck!" Dayna moaned, her mouth full of food. "I've missed the shit out of these pancakes."
"Should I feel offended by the sound that just came out of you?" Finnegan laughed as Dayna continued to stuff pancakes into her mouth.
She shook her head, maple syrup dripping from her chin, a content look on her face. Quinn scrunched her face in disgust, eating her breakfast with a little more grace than her sister. Vicki smiled at them as she reached across the table to poke Jaxson in the cheek. His teeth clacked together as he tried to bite her finger but she pulled it away just in time.
"I see none of you did a lot of growing up while we were gone," I smirked.
"Says the one who ran after Cassie like a lovesick puppy." Finnegan shot back at him, wiping the syrup from Dayna's chin.
"Who's a lovesick puppy?"
My eyes flicked to the other side of the room. Cas was stood in the doorway, his face held a sleepy expression even though he smelt clean and fresh. He'd just gotten out of the shower, his blonde hair still wet, small beads of water dripping onto his shirt.
"Is that my shirt?" I questioned, my eyebrows pulling together.
Cas blinked blearily, glancing down at the shirt and then slowly back up at me. He was always adorable when he'd just woken up as long as it was of his own accord.
"I think so." He shrugged. "Like it matters at this point."
I nodded my head in agreement. He smiled sleepily and walked towards James who was cooking pancakes, holding his palms up. He placed a plate of hot pancakes in Cas' open hands and smiled as he gently pushed him towards the kitchen table. He ambled towards me and slipped into the chair on my right. He didn't bother with a knife and fork, just picked up a pancake and ripped it apart, slowly putting it in his mouth.
"Do you need to stare at him like that?" Vicki questioned.
I turned my gaze towards her. "Look at who like what?"
"Cassie," Jaxson replied bluntly. "You're being creepy."
Cas suddenly perked up. "How am I being creepy?" He exclaimed. "I'm eating!"
Jaxson and Vicki groaned in unison. "Not you!" Vicki griped. "Sage! He's looking at you like he wants to eat you."
Cas glanced between Vicki, Jaxson and I, confused. It took him a moment before a look of realisation appeared on his face. They didn't know we were together. He suddenly stood from the table and picked up his half-empty plate. He rushed across the kitchen and placed his plate next to the sink.
"Where's Fabian?" He asked as he walked back towards me.
"I think he's outside with Michael and Tiberius," I replied as he reached me.
He leant down and placed a quick kiss on my lips just as Anna walked in through the sliding door behind us. The room fell silent as Cas pulled away, smiling gently down at me before he rushed past Anna out the back door. Quinn's mouth was agape, her pancake filled fork halfway to her mouth. Finnegan's eyes were bulging out of their sockets while Vicki and Jaxson flicked their eyes between me, the door, each other and back again. I couldn't see my mother's face but I could see the knowing smile James gave her. Dayna just shrugged and continued stuffing her breakfast into her mouth.
"What the fuck was that?" Finnegan asked under his breath.
"What the fuck was what?" I grinned.
"That!" He exclaimed.
I continued to grin. "Oh, that? Cas was just saying goodbye."
"But why was he saying it like that?" Vicki exploded.
