"Goodness girl, you look like sh*t!" Leo handed me my bottled water as he sat beside me.

I gave him a small, thankful smile before taking a drink of it.

"Thanks. I feel like one too by the way."

"Oh, well, we all gotta feel like one to just be completely okay!"

I raised brow. "Was that supposed to be the words of comfort or lies?"

"Oh cheer up, Sammy." Hayley said, giving me a sympathetic look. "At least Jessica's not here to kick your butt again, right?"

Oh, I forgot all about cake face. Ever since that incident of where Gabriel swooped in to save me like the knight and shining armour that he is, Jessica's been hanging around. That woman loves me. She and her goons traps me in the ladies bathroom plus she really like to use her nails on me.

Speaking of Gabriel, I haven't seen him since he made my brothers and my cousins go bananas because of his stupid joke to make them mad. I will pressume that he is now dead, his body is just maybe down in the basement covered with a white thin sheet.

My brothers have been helping with all that they could but Jessica's being a leach. Even with the threats and all of the house egging, she still messes with me.

Yeah. Maybe.

"Hayley." Leo warned. "Not helping."

"Sorry." Hayley muttered. "I'm not very good at this."

I shook my head. "It's fine guys. I'm just being a typical paranoid teenage doofus."

I really wish that it was just a typical paranoid thing.

"You're not a doofus, darling." Leo softly said, nudging me in a comforting way. "You're just having a bad day."

I laughed meekly, looking at him tiredly. If you have brothers that's just so protective then it's no surprise when my friends can be their eyes and ears.

"It's not a bad day, Leo." I whispered. "It's just...getting worse. I-I think that I'm going--"

"Oh my gosh." Leo mumbled, holding my arm, giving it a tight squeeze. "Are you going into depression? Like are you okay?! Should I call your brothers? Or your unusually attractive cousins?"

I had to internally roll my eyes at that.

Really?

My cousins are nothing but monstrous and they really have a scary glare.

Hayley scoffed. "That won't be necessary, Leo."

"Right." Leo huffed in disappointment.

"But in all seriousness. Like really, truly, one hundred percent serious now." Leo said, taking a deep breath before signing. "How are you really? You don't look so good, like really not good."

"Is it a family matter thing?" Hayley guessed, tilting her head a little.

I shrugged.

"I think it's a family matter thing."

"Oh, we promise that we won't tell." Hayley said, crossing her heart like a child. "Cross my heart."

Right. I still don't believe that.

"Yeah, even if we'll have to go against your brothers, I wont tell." Leo seriously stated. "You look so not okay and you seriously need some sleep. I've seen you doze off like six times in our classes."

I look at both of them, contemplating my choices of what I could do in this situation. I'm not really good in hiding secrets in the first place. I've been taught to tell the truth and since our parents weren't always there to act like the parents that they are, it was my brothers who taught me some values. They said that when I was a kid, I would always lie about a lot of things like when I ate a whole plate of cookies, they said that I would shake my head and blame somebody else when they ask me. They drilled that value inside of my head ever since.
