"I can take care of myself."

I pouted as Leo grumbled from under his breath.

Hayley let our a sigh. "Sammy, any later and you would've been seriously hurt. It's a good thing that the principal was nice enough to let you go, you know."

"She didn't completely let me go!" I argued but my brothers shook their heads in disbelief.

We're at a nearby cafe, having our so called 'celebration' but I don't feel like I'm celebrating. I think that I'm getting scolded.

"The important thing is that she's okay." Jayden huffed. "Don't forc--"

Leo, Hayley and even Gabriel glared at him making Jayden flinch in surprise as he gulped in fear. He immediately closed his mouth and look at his hot cup of latte.

I wonder why he's so scared at them right now.

I took a drink of my water and sighed. "I'm so sorry Leo... "

Leo looks at me in worry. "What? What for, baby?"

"She called you that." I said. "I should've killed her when I had the chance."

"Same." Noah piped in. "If I had the chance I would've... "

He clenched his fist, showing it to us, meaning that he would've punched the girl.

It's a good thing that we're in the farthest room of the cafe where no one could see us that much because I don't want people to see these scary killers I call my friends and my brothers.

"Well, we have other things to discuss." Hayley formally said making me all confused again.

"What?" I asked dumbfoundedly.

"About you being hospitalized for example." Hayley glanced at me with a scrutinizing look. "You left that out. So, what happened? How and Why?"

"Guys I'm--"

"If you tell us that you're fine, so help me I will cut out your tongue and burn it to the depths of hell because you are a big fat liar." Leo threatened with an innocent- too innocent if you ask me- smile.

I sighed.

Isaac, who was quiet for quite some time, spoke.

"Don't force her to tell you the whole story." He said with a growl. "She's hurting."

"You don't say!" Hayley chirped but she was dripping with sarcasm. "I wonder who the hell had the balls to do that, hmm?"

Isaac clenched his jaw shut, glaring at her with anger.

"You're going too far." Jayden said. "He was only trying to take care of her."

"Take care of her... ?" Lucas mumbled. "They're right, you know. We're on top of the pride mountain to see that we're wrong."

"Lucas?" Tyler called out to the dazed looking Lucas.

"I'm sorry... " Lucas looked at me with a bitter smile on his face. "We lied to you, hurt you and abandoned you when you needed us the most and I can't fix that. I can't atone for my mistakes, Sam..."

I was speechless.

I don't know what to say.

What should I say?

This escalated rather quickly.

"Lucas?" Jayden growled. "What are you saying?"

"We're there and we didn't help her, Jay!" Lucas barked.
