Loving someone isn't just like a walk in the park or an exam that you will have to take in order to see if you're capable in loving someone.
No.
Love is wide.
Wider than anything that anyone has ever seen.
It's something that binds people together. It's something that makes us go crazy and foolish but that's what this emotion is all about. Love can make a person foolish but it's something that is worth it in the end.
Love is something that you will need to earn, it's something that you will need to treasure forever and that's not a weakness. It's the strongest power you could ever ask for because love is deep, it's deeper than the ocean. And when it's gone? It's like someone killed your soul.
It hurt so much.
It's hurts so much than maybe death itself.
But what is pain? Does this feeling make you cry? Does it make you feel dead inside? Is it like stepping on rocks with your bare feet? Is it something that fades or stays?
It comes along with love and that is pain. It hurts but that just proves that you really love the person. You gotta hurt in order to protect the ones that you love.
And when they lost Lydia? Do you know how much pain that felt? Do you know how many days they have mourned and cried? They were so attached that when she was gone, they all ran from the truth because it was so painful. It hurts.
They loved Lyida so much, they loved her to the moon and back and she just died all too suddenly. Too quickly. She was too young, too early to die. And that was a pain that nobody can ever describe. No words can describe that kind of pain.
And nobody deserves to feel it.
All that they could think of was her. Of Lydia. And they didn't mean to hurt Sam. They were only healing. They were only trying heal. But they never used Sam as some kind of replacement.
No, Sam is also just as important as Lydia. They're equal.
The pain, the sorrows that they felt when Lydia died came crashing down in full force when Samantha stared at them with those broken, sad eyes that were once twinkling with mirth. Her whole body shook in pain and fear that it made the family feel like they lost someone who's very close and important to them again. The same grief that they once felt before came rising up and all that they could do was watch her.
Inside, they want to reach out for Sam. They really do want to reach out.
They want to tell her that she was never a replacement. She was the bestest treasure that they have ever loved. She's their little baby girl that they have raised. She's their sun and their star. Sam guides them to someplace bright and not dark. She's the perfect daughter and sister that they have ever had.
She's not a replacement.
Because Sam was that someone who made their lives brighter with each and every passing time of their lives, year, day, hour, minute and second.
They want to tell her that so badly.
They want to hold her, whisper nothing but sweet words to Sam. She didn't deserve pain. She's too kind and young to see hell. To feel what the troubles life has to offer. She doesn't need that much burden on her shoulder.
Sam had been through a lot these days. She's been through hell and they were awful to leave her alone with nothing but insecurities.
Especially her parents. They were stupid. They were careless. They were never there for Sam when she needed them the most and they were getting ahead of themselves, thinking that parenting was an easy thing to do.
But in the end, they did nothing. They didn't say anything. They didn't even comfort their own child when she needed them. How can they even call themselves as responsible adults when they can't even help their own daughter?
They didn't deserve the title of parents. They were far from being one actually. They didn't deserve that title. They were doctors for fuck's sake and they can't even be there for their own daughter when she's in crisis? What lunatics. That's shameful. Her brothers raised her and they didn't even consider their sons' own lives too. They just placed the responsibility in their eldest and that was the most dumbest, most idiotic thing that a parent could have ever done.
But she still needs them. She still needs them. And that's the least they could do. Be there for Sam. Be a supporter. Be a parent that they were supposed to be.
As for Xendrix and Daniel. Outside, they act like they're picture perfect but on the inside, they're nothing but a know-it-all. Cowards. Fools. You name it. They're not perfect because everyone makes mistakes and they know theirs.
They definitely know theirs.
And it wasn't fair to the person who swallowed up their foolish acts.
But what's done was done, right? You can't blame them for that because it already happened. They have already sinned. But blaming one another is just wasting time.
Instead of worrying over the things that you've already done, do something that could at least change something to lift up your mistakes. Do something rather than nothing.
Sam. Their Sam.
They hurt her.
Is this what they've become? Did they take her for granted?
What kind of monsters were they?
All of them was wallowing in self pity that they didn't see Samantha going down the stairs.
Lucas was the first to try and greet her but she stopped him. Lucas felt sadness inside of his heart and it was swallowing him. He understood what Sam has been going through, he knew that it's because of them but goodness... Why did they let Sam go through this all alone? Why did they let Sam cry? Weren't they supposed to help her? Weren't they supposed to be there for her?
"Please... " She hesitated as she was fiddling with the hem of her T-shirt. Something that she does when she's scared or uncomfortable. Nervousness was written all over her eyes and they could tell that she was not really okay with being in the same room with them.
Who wouldn't be actually?
"Please take me to Lydia's grave... "
And that was the last thing that they could ever think of her saying that. That was the last thing they thought of Sam saying.
After everything, why was she going there? For what? What will she be saying to Lydia? Won't that bring more pain? She already had enough of the pain, right?
In all honesty though....
Will it really bring more pain to her?
Or is that an excuse to hide the pain that will once again resurface when they visit Lydia's grave?
