Chapter 20: The Wait

*GUILDS POV*

It was dark outside, and the snow showed no signs of slowing down.

A few guild members were still there, but most were heading out to go home.

Mira was cleaning glasses, when the phone started to ring making everyone go silent.

"That's weird, no one usually calls us unless it's a emergency" she said as she put down the glass she was cleaning and walked over to the phone.

"Who do you think it is?" Gray asked.

Mira slowly picked up the phone and brought it to her ear.

"Hello?....Yes this is Fairy Tail...Oh my God!..Oh ok I understand..Yes Have a nice night" Mira's hand shook as she placed it back down.

"Well?" Levy asked.

"Lucy's in the hospital"

"What? How? What happen?!" Levy jumped off her stool and ran towards Mira.

"They didn't tell me how, but apparently she's in bad shape..they said we should stop by in the morning or when the snow stops" Mira replied.

"She'll be ok" Gray said placing his hand on her shoulder.

"Someone has to tell Natsu-" suddenly the doors flew open, letting the cold breeze send chills through everyone's body.

Natsu came rushing in the guild.

"Hey! Good you guys are still here!" Natsu said out of breathe.

"Natsu.." Mira started to say but Natsu immediately started turning his head.

"Hold on Mira! I have a surprise for Lucy.. Where is she? Did she leave? I don't smell her"

"About that..." Mira looked at everyone who just stood there silently.

They knew Natsu would explode and go find her, but the weather was just to harsh for anyone to go out there.

"Never mind, I'll just go to her apartment" he said walking away.

She couldn't let him walk away and find out himself.

He was almost to the door.

"LUCY IS IN THE HOSPITAL" Levy yelled.

Natsu immediately stopped in his tracks.

"What?"

Natsu's face when serious as his head turned towards them in confusion.

"We just got a call from the hospital..something happened and she got hurt..we can visit her in the morning", said Mira as she held her head down

Natsu just stood still, trying to take in everything.

"Tomorrow? That's too long I'm going now" he turned around again and running out, leaving Mira, Levy and Gray to sigh.

"I'll go get him" Gray said taking his shirt off.

"Why are you taking your shirt off"

Levy asked.

"Juvia thinks that Gray is able to do whatever he wants!" Juvia shouted from behind a pillar.

"Ehh? When did you get here"

"I'll come too" Levy said grabbing her jacket.

"Won't do me any good staying here!" Mira chimed as she shut the lights off and headed out.

The group tried their best to stay warm, but failed as the cold weather made an entrance to their skin.

"I-it's s..so..so cold.." Levy said with purple lips.

"It feels pretty good actually" Gray said shirtless.

"Shrimp?" Gajeel said as the group stopped and noticed the iron mage.

"Gajeel? What..a-are you d-doing out her..e"

"I could ask you the same thing"

"Were going to visit Lucy" Levy said hugging herself.

Her cold breathe showed everytime she talked.

"Here" Gajeel said taking his jacket off and throwing it towards her.

"Aren't you going to be cold?"

"I'll be fine" he said crossing his arms.

"Hmph" Levy took his jacket and put it on.

If it wasn't for Lucy's serious problem Mira would of probably fangirled.

Gajeel soon joined them, on their journey to the hospital.

"I really hope Lucy is ok" Mira said too herself.

They could barely see 5 feet in front of them, which got annoying real quick.

They soon got to the hospital entrance.

The first thing they saw was a certain salmon-haired getting held back by 2 people.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN VISITING HOURS ARE OVER, WHAT HAPPEN TO HER" Natsu screamed.

Gray and Gajeel rushed over,grabbing him and pulling him outside to cool off.

"I'm sorry for our friend" Mira said before walking off.

After awhile the boys came back inside.

They all decided to just stay at the hospital and be the first ones to see her in the morning.

To the left of them, there was what looked like a husband and wife sleeping.

Natsu was kinda upset that he knew nothing about what happened and it was eating him from the inside.

"Calm down Flame brain she'll be alright" Gray said putting his hands behind his head.

"Shut it Ice princess"

"What did you call me?!"

"Shut up you're giving me a headache" Gajeel said making the two stop.

After awhile, most of the group had fell asleep.

Natsu was the last sleep, it took him awhile to eventually shut his eyes.

Levy was using Gajeel's shoulder as a pillow, but he didn't really mind.

Natsu was also the first one up, waiting for visiting hours to be available.

Not long after, everyone slowly woke up.

The snow outside had lifted and the sun was starting to shine.

Visiting hours started at 12am so they all went to the cafeteria to eat.

After they were done, they waited patiently for the clock to strike 12

"Ugh this is taking forever" Natsu groaned.

Then a women who looked in her 20's with short blonde hair and was holding a clipboard walked up to the group.

"Are you uh" she looked down at her clipboard.

"Fairy tail? Yes that would be us" Mira finished her sentence.

"You may go visit Lucy, she's on the second floor room 105"
