I whipped around to see the already too familiar hazel eyes.
I stared at him, waiting for him to say why he stopped me.
I sure as hell wasn't going to say anything.
I never have.
In my four years of being at Winchester High, I've only spoken to teachers, and that was always in private.
There is not a single student in this school who knows what I sound like.
I don't really have a real reason for never talking to anyone or now refusing to do so, I just never did.
Right before Freshman year started, my parents kicked me out of the house.
I never really did anything.
At least not something for them to kick me out over.
I've been on my own ever since.
They used to send me money so that they wouldn't get in trouble for kicking a minor out onto the streets, but as soon as I turned 18-three months ago-I've been on my own.
Ashton didn't say anything.
Instead, he just handed me jacket that I left on the chair in the class.
I took it from his hands, careful not to touch him, and turned to walk away.
This time I wasn't stopped.
I made it to the rest of my classes without running into Ashton.
That changed at lunch.
Since Freshman year, I've eaten up in the library.
I'm the only one allowed to eat in there.
I go there because I have nobody to hang out with, nobody to talk to-like I would speak...
I sit in the very back corner at the table and eat whatever I bring from home.
I grabbed my bag and set it on my usual table.
I looked around as I pulled out a PB&J sandwich, a small baggy of spicy Doritos chips, a small container of green grapes, and a can of Mountain Dew.
From my corner, I could see everywhere in the library.
There are a few people walking through the different isles of books, a couple people over in another corner with the computers, and two at the front counter, checking out some books.
I grabbed my phone from my pocket and messed around while I are slowly.
Usualy, while I eat, I either do something on my phone or read a book, sometimes both.
I finished eating my sandwich and was eating a couple chips when someone sat down at my table.
I jumped at the surprise.
Nobody ever sits with me.
I'm a nobody in this school.
It would be considered a disgrace if someone "hangs out" with me.
I looked up slowly to see hazel eyes and curly light brown hair.
I cocked an eyebrow at him.
In answer, he reached forward and stole a few grapes.
I glared at him.
Don't touch my grapes!
He popped one into his mouth and smirked.
He leaned back in his seat and studied me.
I decided to ignore him and looked back on my phone.
My phone was soon snatched from my hand.
I sat up straight and wanted to protest, but I couldn't even get my mouth to open, even I did, I still wouldn't speak.
I leaned forward and reached over to snag my phone back, but he moved just out reach.
A small low growl escaped the back of my throat, causing Ashton to raise an eyebrow at me.
He only had my phone for a minute until he handed it back.
I quickly went through it, but I couldn't see anything that he could have done.
I know you did something, but what?
He grabbed another grape and popped it into his mouth.
I glared at him, waiting to see if he would explain what he did on my phone, but he never did.
The bell rang and he stood up.
He gave me a half grin, winked, and walked off.
I stared after him, confused as hell.
