I woke up slowly.
My head was throbbing and only one thing came to mind.
One and only one thing.
I'm a demon...
I lay completely still and concentrate on my quickened heartbeat.
I concentrated on it until he slowed down to normal.
Once it was, I aloud myself to search my mind.
I'm a demon...
Nobody decided to tell me. Nobody thought that just maybe, just maybe, that I would like to know something like that.
I shook it off and looked for something else.
It made my head throb again so I stopped.
I felt different.
I felt like I knew more, and technically I did.
I know everything now. I know the truth. The truth about everything that's happened to me. I know the truth...about me.
A small knock came from the door and I sat up.
The large door creaked open and a curious red head came into view.
"Bailey, you're up," Michael said sounding happy.
He smiled brightly at me and I smiled weakly back.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
"Like my head just had it's own personal earthquake," I said leaning back against the wall behind me.
"Yeah," He said sitting next to me. "Sorry about that, but now the block is gone."
"How long have I been out?" I asked.
"A day," He answered.
Wow, ok then.
I nodded and then glared at him.
"What?" He asked.
"Why didn't anyone tell me?" I asked vaguely.
He sighed, already knowing what I'm talking about.
"I didn't want to scare you," He admitted bowing his head.
I was speechless.
I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up on wobbly legs.
I stood still for a moment to make sure I was strong enough to walk.
When I was sure, I started pacing.
I gave a humorless laugh.
"Did want to scare me," I echoed.
"I didn't," Michael said honestly.
"Michael, I was told that Hell was a real place two days ago. I was told that demons existed, two days ago," I rounded on him.
He stared at me with wide eyes.
"Now that's scary," I continued. "I was then kidnapped and held hostage. I was told a story about a life I didn't remember. Was told that a block was the cause of that. I run away to come to you, who at the time, I thought was an enemy. All I wanted was the truth and I just keep getting different versions of the same thing. Michael, that is scary."
He watched me intently, listening to everything I was saying.
"Finding out that your entire life is a lie, that's scary," I continued.
