Ashton jumped away from me.
I looked to my right to see Luke standing behind the bar door with a smirk playing his lips.
"Naughty, naughty," Luke tsked.
I glare at him.
"I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you have your memories back?" Luke asked.
I nodded, still not saying anything.
He sighed.
"Thought so," He said more to himself than to me.
He waved his right hand around and suddenly my hands were bound behind my back.
"Really wish it didn't have to be this way," Luke said with a sigh.
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Come along you two," He said turning around.
I didn't want to follow, but it was as if my feet had a mind of their own and started following him.
Ashton was right beside me as we followed Luke down a series of halls, up some stairs, and down some more halls, before we came to the room with his thrown.
Calum sat in his seat next to Luke's thrown. Luke went over and sat in his seat.
He crossed his leg over his knee, resting his ankle on his knee.
"So, you remember everything?" Luke asked me.
I shrugged.
Raising an eyebrow, Luke gives me a look.
"Care to explain?" He asked.
"Not really," I said shaking my head.
He snapped his fingers and suddenly I was explaining.
"I remember things when something triggers them," I blurt.
I scowled as I realized he was using his magic against me.
"Like, I know I remember everything, but everything is still kind of hazy and out of focus," I continued.
Luke nodded slowly, reading into my words.
"Interesting," Luke murmured.
Yeah, so interesting, I thought sarcastically to myself.
"Now, I have a question for you," I said looking him in the eyes.
"Do you now?" He asked with a smirk.
I ignored his remark.
"Why," I started. "Have you wanted me all this time?"
His eyes widened slightly. He was shocked by my question.
He recovered quickly.
Standing up, he slowly walked around me Ashton - who has stayed quiet this entire time.
"Well," He said when he was directly behind me. "You are a powerful demon, Bailey. I'm powerful, but not even close to how powerful you are."
He paused as he stopped in front of me. He crouched down and cocked his head to the side.
"But, if I had you at my side, I would be powerful enough to overrule everyone," He continued softly.
I shook my head in disgust.
"Power," I said snappishly. "Is not how to rule over people."
He clicked his tongue and shook his head.
"Bailey, Bailey, Bailey," He said standing back up.
He walked to his thrown and stopped right in front of it.
"Power," He said turning around slowly. "Is exactly how to rule."
I shook my head as he sat down.
"No," I said. "That is how to get people to hate you and go against you. That is how you get the rebels and that is how you start a war."
My thoughts went back to when I was on the hill with Michael. He was telling me how all of this happened.
"We've already been through one war that was full of blood and loss. That's why we have two realms!" I tried to reason with him.
He shook his head.
"So? I'll still be leader," He said with a grin.
"You disgust me," I spat.
He quickly stood up and came over to me. He crouched down once again in front of me and grabbed my chin roughly in his fingers.
"Now, you listen here," He said.
Before he could say anything else, the doors burst open and a battle cry met my ears.
