8 days until the competition

"you seem happier these past days." jisun stated at breakfast, after looking at jimin singing and dancing around the kitchen for 10 minutes straight.

jimin just continued, placing a heart shaped pancake on her plate, and then placing one on his plate as well and then finally sat down across from his sister.

"what do you mean?" he asked, reaching for the maple syrup. jisun just shook her head, "jimin i'm not dumb, something you're not telling me is going on. you can't hide anything from me jimin."

jimin sighed, he had never been good at hiding his feelings, "it's really nothing special, it's just that my student got a chance to audition for a idol company, and we're training together. you know how much i love music and i'm so proud that my student gets such an amazing chance."
jimin was sure that he was probably blushing, but he tried to ignore it hoping that jisun wouldn't realize it.

"oh that's nice jimine, what's his or her name?" she asked, relived that it wasn't because of the person she had feared his happiness was about.

jimin's cheeks became even redder and he hated that he had to lie, but his sister still didn't know that jungkook was his student. "uhm his name is tony." he said even though it sounded more like a question than a answer.

jisun froze, she knew jimin lied, tony was the name jimin used to call jungkook when they were kids and the younger was obsessed with iron man. she started to panic, so it was jungkook, he had started to hang out with again.

jisun really hoped that it was only coincidence that jimin had chosen the name tony and not that he subconsciously remembered something of his past. she couldn't risk that everything she had been working on so hardly would go to waste.

"oh okay min. just, you know, don't do anything stupid that could risk you your job." she sighed, hoping jimin would get the hint.

jimin nodded, "i love my job, i know what i'm doing please don't worry."

jisun wanted to trust her brother, but sadly she knew that jimin always had had a soft spot for jungkook, and that it wouldn't be too long until they would get closer again, if that didn't already happen.

"jungkook!!" yugyeom screamed through the halls of their school, trying to get the slightly older boy to notice him. jungkook turned around, to look for the person that had called him, so yugyeom threw his arms in the air so jungkook could see him.

jungkook seemed like he really wanted to go somewhere else but thankfully he still waited for his friend. yugyeom finally managed to get his way through the crowed hallways. they started walking again, now next to each other.

"where have you been the last two days? you're always dashing out after class ends and i can't even say goodbye or anything." he complained, pouting which made the older cringe, only jimin could pout and look cute while doing it.

"i'm sorry", he apologized to his friend, he had been neglecting all of them lately, always too caught up with his own problems. "you know the competition i told you about, right?" the other nodded. "well mr park agreed to help me practice and we're always doing it after school."

yugyeom understood, he was glad that his friend seemed happier than before, even though the older hadn't admitted it, yugyeom knew there had been something serious going on the last weeks that made jungkook only a shadow of his former self. now, the jungkook he knew, finally came back again.
