(a/n jimin's parents live in busan, jungkook's used to live there as well but then moved to seoul after the death of jia and junghyun)
"jimin, are you sure? this is a really serious matter." jimin's dad asked with tired eyes, with a sobbing mrs park in his arms.
jimin's heart broke as he saw his broken parents sitting there on the couch with tears in their eyes, not that jimin was any better, tears kept pouring out of his eyes as he fought the loud sobs back.
he felt like he had ruined his family for good now, the burdens of a dead sister had always stayed on them, no one ever really being able to let go.
to that followed jimin's amnesia, for what he had always blamed himself, hating that he was the reason that the childhood of a young boy had been ruined. the childhood of jungkook, the sweetest and purest boy he had ever had to honor to meet.
no, he couldn't think of jungkook now, he would break down for good.
"i'm so sorry, mom and dad. i'm so so sorry." jimin whispered, as he looked down to his shaking hands.
"it's okay jimin-ah." jimin's mom whispered as she embraced him tightly, not letting go. "i know that it sounds awful, but we always feared this day. we had a feeling that jisun might have forgotten to take her medicine, but we couldn't endure the pain of losing another child. we thought that it might all be a big misunderstanding after all jisun loved her sister so much."
jimin froze, and then pulled away from his mother's arm, to stand up from the couch. "you kept jisun's illness from the police, didn't you?"
"we are so sorry, jimin-ah. your mother and i were just so scared at the time and couldn't think straight. we were afraid that they would take her away from us forever."
"mom, dad jisun ruined the childhood of a young innocent boy and you basically helped her. i still remember how broken he was at the time, he couldn't even look at me because he felt so guilty of something he didn't even do."
jimin couldn't contain his sobs anymore, his legs shaking violently."there wasn't one day i wasn't feeling guilty of what i did, please believe me jiminie. we are no monsters, we were just two broken parents who lost almost both of their children." his mom sobbed, suddenly looking 20 years older with her slumped down shoulders and messed up hair.
jimin was angry, but he could understand his parents, they went through so many bad things at that time, a dead daughter, an almost dead son. "i just need a little time right now." jimin said exhausted, the lack of sleep evident in his voice.
his parents nodded promising to give him space right now, that night al three of the park household went to bed with a broken heart.

jimin went back to seoul two days later. the police had told him that there was nothing they could do as the crime had been committed too many years ago.
the only thing jimin could do now was trying to talk to his sister. he knew that it probably was a stupid idea, especially if she tried to attack him.
his friends had tried to talk him out of it, but to no avail, jimin was determined to talk some sense into his sister.
"i'm back." jimin said as he opened the door to his apartment, chimmy immediately greeted him, purring while jimin patted her head. "i missed you too chimmy." he laughed.
his shoulders tensed when jisun walked out of the living room to greet her brother. he couldn't lie, he was afraid of his sister right now.
