[12. A Gift]

Nova's POV

I shifted as I started waking up and stuck my head in my pillow.

Was it Monday or Sunday? I can't remember.

I think it's Sunday.

I opened my eyes to look at my alarm clock and it said Sunday 7:34 am.

'Too early'

I groaned as I turned to the other side and covered myself more with my iron man blanket, as I slipped back into the sleep world.

Todoroki's POV

I flopped on my back after my father kicked my legs under me and I huffed in annoyance.

"You're distracted" He said and I just continued to lay there, breathing heavily "No, you're just an asshole" I said "It's the girl, isn't it? I knew she was trouble" Father said and slammed the training room door shut as he walked out "She's not trouble" I mumbled and stood up.

I've been thinking a lot about Aoki since the hospital visit and I just can't get rid of this feeling, it's like, I get all nervous and lose my cool.

'I'll ask Fuyumi'

I walked up to my sisters bedroom door and knocked on it "Come in" She said and I opened the door "Shoto! How was training?" She asked and I sat beside her on her bed "It was the same as yesterday" "You got distracted again?" She asked "It's Aoki, I can't stop thinking about her and my heart starts pounding when I think about her" I sighed "Shoto, I think you might have a crush" She pointed out and I felt my face heat up "No-" "Yes, I think you do" I looked down at the ground and frowned "It can't be, can it?" I asked "If you're constantly getting distracted or your heart starts pounding when you think about her then, yes I'm sure" Fuyumi said, I stayed extremely quiet and kept my eyes on the ground.

"What happens when you're around her?" Fuyumi asked "My heart starts racing" I said "I think what you should do is ask her out on a date. Ask her what her favorite things are to do and eat, then find a place with those things" Fuyumi said and I nodded.

"Now, when can I meet her?" "Fuyumi!"

Nova's POV

"The Sports Festival?" I questioned and rubbed my eyes "Yeah! Mr. Aizawa said that we need to get ready for it" Aimi said over the phone "I doubt I can do it, I'll have to ask Nezu" I said and grabbed a piece of pizza from the fridge "Just come to school tomorrow! It's important!" Aimi said and I groaned "Fine, I'll see you tomorrow" I hung up and slammed my head lightly on the table "Ugh" "What could be more important than the Sports Festival?"

{next day}

"You're going to be fine" My dad hugged me and I hugged him with my right arm "I hope so" "Now go kick some ass!" "It's not the Sports Festival yet"

I walked up to the gate of the school and frowned.

Did I really deserve to be here? Would I get kicked out since my power is much weaker without two arms? Was I worthless this time?
