[13. Date?]

Nova's POV

Aimi started choking on her water, Kashi dropped their spoon in their curry and Luce and Riku's mouths were open.

"D-Date?" I asked and my entire face was reder than a tomato "Yes, will you go on a date with me?" He asked again and I just stared at him like he was a mad man.

"Y-Yeah I-I'd lo-love to" I said and kept falling over my words, the rest of the group had left the table so it was just the two of us.

"Where do you want to go?" He asked "I'm fine with whatever" He added, I thought for a moment and remembered something I used to do with my dad when I was younger and I missed doing it even if it wasn't with my dad "How about... Roller Skating?" I asked "I've never done it before but it sounds like fun" "Oh you're going to hate it. But we could get soba before? And we could do something you like to do" I said and he got excited "Soba?" I nodded my head "I think I make some amazing Soba since everyone who's had it loves it" I said and he nodded his head "Okay, do you have my number?" I asked "No" "Here... This is my number and my address. We could eat before we go out?" I asked "And I'll think of something we could do that I like" I smiled "Text me whenever you want the date to be" I got up and grabbed my lunch tray "I'll see you tomorrow" He said and I nodded as I walked to my next class.

'I hope I don't mess up!'

I rubbed my face and opened my eyes and was met with my cats face "Mako, what do you want?" I asked and grabbed my phone

'8:45 am'

I saw that I had a text from a random number and I opened it

Hey, It's Todoroki. Do you want to have the date tomorrow? If you're not free then you can tell me when you are.

Nova:
I'm free tomorrow. Thanks for messaging me finally.

I smiled as I sat my phone back on my bedside table and stood up and stretched but then realized my dad will be home all day tomorrow which means he'll be here when Todoroki is over.

"I'm back!" I paused the tv and looked over the couch "Yo" I said "What's up kiddo?" "Watching the third Iron Man movie" I said and he sat down beside me and I remembered I'd have to tell him about my date tomorrow.

"So.... I'm going on a date tomorrow" I said and scratched the back of my neck "With who?" He asked "Todoroki"

"I fucking knew it!"

"Huh?" "I knew this was gonna happen! I'm glad it did!" Dad said and I was so confused "But you've never met the guy?" "Oh I have once. At the hospital when he was asking about you" Dad said and my eyes widened "What did he say?" I asked "He was sorry, for being so cold" "That sounds like him" I smiled "He makes you happy?" Dad asked "He knows what it's like, to have a parent hate you and see you as a weapon" I said "He's nothing like his father. He's kind, caring, gentle and protective" I looked at my dad and he had a small smile.

"You're in love with him" Dad said "That look you have on your face while talking about him says everything. It softens and you have a faint smile that goes to your eyes" "I guess I am. That's weird" I said and he shook his head "No, it just means you're not soulless. Unlike your mother" I chuckled "Yeah"

"Is everything set?" I asked my dad and walked into the kitchen "Yes, and I definitely will show baby pictures" Dad said "He's not my boyfriend Dad" I rolled my eyes "Not yet!" I smiled at my dad and heard the door bell ring.

"I'll get it" I walked over to the door and unlocked it "Hi" I opened the door and smiled "Hi" Todoroki said and I moved out of his way "So I don't know how you feel about this but my dad is also here, don't worry he's staying behind during our d-date!" I rambled and he just smiled at me "It's fine Aoki" "Nova" "Hmm?" "Call me N-Nova" I said and he nodded "It's fine. Nova" He took his shoes off and we walked into the kitchen.

"It's nice to see you again Todoroki" my dad stuck his hand out and Todoroki shook it "You too Sir" He said and my dad gave him the 'hurt my daughter and me or her will kill you but most likely her' look which he's never gave anyone since I've never gone on a date or been with someone.

"You like cold soba?" I asked and he perked up and nodded "Good because that's how i fix it" I said and pointed at the circle table in the kitchen.

We sat down and started to eat and my dad and Todoroki started talking about different things like my dad's weird surgeries he's done and Todoroki talking about how weird they are as I watch the two talk.

"So this guy comes in with this girl and says 'She's swollen five golf balls!' and I'm standing there confused why she did" "First of all: how? Second of all: how is she even breathing?" I chuckled and the two looked at me "You two are getting along well" I said "It's funny watching you two talk" I said and finished my soba "I'll take these into the kitchen" I went to go pick up the bowls but Todoroki started picking them up instead "I've got it" He put them in the sink and put water in them.

"I guess I'll see you crazy kids when you get back" Dad said and I hugged him "Thanks" "For what?" "Being a cool dad" I smiled but then grabbed my flannel jacket and put it on while grabbing my shoes.

"Bye dad!" I closed the door and sighed "You okay?" Todoroki asked "I'm just nervous" I said and he smiled "I am too"

I don't know what dates are like so here we go lads

Also didn't realize that my mind probably said "Make Nova have a metal arm because Bucky Barnes does" and I didn't notice his left arm was also his metal arm
